"Jindalee" is located on a 500 acre property, 26kms east of Glen Innes on the headwaters of the Severn River, home to a number of platypus. Being situated only 2kms off the Gwydir Highway, access is very easy. Please call Bob for directions prior to arriving- 0409 155 147. We are 40kms from Gibraltar Range National Park, pet friendly, and offer secure camping and a place to leave your pets so you can explore the area. We offer a pet minding service during the day for a small fee for those who want to visit the National parks. There is a bitumen road to the boundary and then an all weather gravel road to the site. The camping site is beside the river with one prepared granite parking area and a number of mown spots for you to select from. We offer campfire pits and free wood - limited amount collected beside each fire pit and you can collect yourself for free. There is abundant wildlife, including Platypus and a pleasant track along the river, wandering in among the granite rocks, to a picnic place.

Jindalee Bush Camp Site 1
We spent two wonderful nights at the bush camp. It was private and peaceful. Communication was great. We were greeted by Bob and Willow the dog who showed us to our camp. Bob had prepared a large pile of firewood ready to use. The drop toilet was clean and an easy walk. We took our little dog with us who loved it aswell. We enjoyed going on walks around the property and sitting by the camp fire. Will definitely stay again.

Great spot, lots of space. Travelled 1/2hr daily to the Gibraltar Ranges National Park and came back for afternoon relaxation. Bob was very welcoming. Plenty of firewood.

Beautiful spot, beautiful country.. The owners came through on their horses and had a chat. Bob the caretaker is a legend.. The cows are friendlier than expected Well worth checking out.

Jindalee Bush Camp Site 1
Loved the campsite and property. It’s very quiet and set in Bushland surrounded by granite boulders.. beautiful. Flocks of finches, wrens and pardalott visit the camp morning and late arvo. Plenty of good dry firewood for cooking on. And the host Bob was very hospitable
