Located at Bilpin, this  beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park!

There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and two in the forest. Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper.

This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet and laundry service (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce.

Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin!

We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :)

Please ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property.

The land is a nature retreat and developing animal rescue sanctuary so we love to share the space with respectful nature loving people :)

We look forward to welcoming you to our unique and magical place ! *****

Excellent stay at the Mountain Lagoon Hideaway, Dannii and Adam are fantastic hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed, provided a lovely welcome gift on arrival and touched base with us throughout our stay. Easy to locate, very peaceful surroundings, a short drive out of Sydney and just what the chef ordered for a short weekend away. Thankyou to Dannii and Adam for allowing us to stay on their lovely secluded property.
Thanks & Regards,

A lovely bush outlook to escape city life and only a short drive from Sydney.
Spend your days exploring the bushland and admiring the view into the gully or relaxing by the camp fire. Lots of local produce and businesses to experience nearby.
Beautiful hosts who really like to look after their guests. Clean toilet available and plenty of fun foraging for firewood.
Would recommend if you're looking for a beautiful bush camp.
Thanks Dannii and Adam for allowing us to share your wonderful property.

We loved our stay at Dannii's place at Mountain Lagoon. The spot was really peaceful, as we were the only campers there during our stay. Dannii was helpful & available, but also let us have our space which was lovely. The location is really close to everything that Bilpin has to offer, and being just over an hour outside of Sydney it was the perfect place to get out of the city and camp for a weekend.

Had a great time - we shall return!

One of the better sites I’ve stayed at, if not best to date. Well spaced out with lots of firewood which Adam was kind enough to supply, though there is plenty of resource around. Perfect for anyone wanting a quick escape to nature. The site has a well maintained toilet hut and ventures off trail into some beautiful areas that Adam was kind enough to share with us.

There is also a rich culture and range of outdoor spots to visit in general around the area that further enhance the value of camping here which we will return for in future with a longer stay

The hosts have done a great job establishing the place and a made our stay very comfortable.

Until next time, Thanks Adam, Dannii & Dolly

Beautiful place to camp. Dannii and Adam went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were greeted with a welcome plate of organic foods, and a pile of firewood was ready for us to enjoy a beautiful campfire.
Dannii and Adam are wonderful hosts. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us. We will definitely be back :)
