Gidgee’s Bush Camp is just on the edge of Morven SW Queensland, 100 km East of Charleville. We are just over 1 km from the Morven post office. Check in 12 noon We operate a small sheep, cattle and goat property along with a camping, coffee and pvc bag manufacturing business. Mick also manages the Morven Rail hub which is a cattle spelling, weighing and trucking terminal. The landscaped campground is set in 60 acres, of open downs country. We are focused on attracting bird life an have identified 90 species. You can stay hooked up on the majority of the sites and they are pull through or reverse parking depending on here you choose to camp. The hub of the campground is WILMAVALE hut, which is complete with a byo bar, entertainment lawn, fire pits and events pavilion. You can watch footy on a Friday night or sit around the wood stove and enjoy the atmosphere of the hut which has been replicated from a house build and lived in by Kylee’s grandparents that was originally built in 1860. There are toilets and showers. Showers require $1 coins for hot water. We also have a coin operated washing machine. We have hot tubs that can be booked and on arrival at an additional cost. WE MAY HAVE VACANCIES THAT ARE NOT LISTED ON THIS SITE 0407620360 You can also consider booking one of our 12 powered sites, or up to 20 powered if booked as a group. We have room for 50 unpowered sites. There are fire pits scattered around the camp for campers to use. We do not supply fire wood, but you can collect it. We lite on of the fires at WILMAVALE hut. Camp kitchen has power, Bar-b-que, Wood stove, hot plate and microwave, including a beautiful, manicured lawn area, and drinking water. You will also be pleasantly surprised by the quirky landscaping and art work that surrounds the campgrounds. Being a working farm your well behaved cats and dogs are welcome but must be restrained at all times. We have bitumen road to our front door and It is accessible to motorbikes, RVs, camper trailers, caravans, cars, trucks and buses. Interact with the farm animals and the camp owners. The bush camp is owned and operated business 4th generation Morven farmers. Enjoy beautiful wide open spaces, with tranquil sunsets followed by huge outback night star lit sky.
