2021:  Thank you to everyone who visited in 2020!  I am truly grateful for all you.  This year I am looking forward to accommodating you with a few changes.  The sites are adequately spaced apart to accommodate COVID-19 protocol.  There is a shared porta-potty between the two campsites.  In the event that both campsites are occupied I ask that you use the disinfectant wipes along with the provided gloves to wipe the door handle before entering and wipe the surface before use of the facility.  Please stay 6 feet away from the other campers as much as possible.  The unit will be cleaned in between campers and at random intervals.  Also, please bring charcoal briquettes for the grill provided if you don't want to cook over the fire. *Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy your stay.

**RUSTIC** Come pitch your large tent on this newly built tent platform (12 x 12)  and enjoy the sound and smells of the ocean and close proximity to Acadia National park.

Bar Harbor is a 20 minute drive from the camp site.

The campsite is right off a  gravel road off of a corner of my 1 acre lot tucked into the edge of the trees.  Swimming nearby includes Echo Lake Beach and Long Pond Beach.

*amenities include electric hookup, water, and a porta potty. I have provided 4 camp chairs.  If you have more than 1 vehicle you may need to park in my driveway in the spot on the right side of the house (green ranch).

Please let me know if you need anything additional and I will try to accommodate you.  I usually leave campers to their solitude. ***Please make sure you read the guest reviews before you book.**

Had a great time camping here, the site was exactly as described and was a great location close to Acadia NP!

Enjoyed our stay at this quiet camp site. It had the basics and was just a short walk, bike ride, or drive to the sea wall.

Sunrise just down the road.

It was very close to Acadia and we saw a lot of great places! However the campsite was dirty, trash overflowing, portapotty was covered in soiled water after the company came by to clean it out, and the site was not kept up with after previous campers stayed. There also was not a lot of privacy but the neighbors were friendly. We had one encounter with the owners and they didnt seem like they were feeling very friendly that day. The camper from the night before brought a trashcan out that did not belong to our camp. We didnt know, but the owners seemed to be a little annoyed. Not the best, not the worst. It does have a beautiful ocean view a few minute walk from the site. However BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD. There are also coyotes but they didnt get too terribly close.

We stayed here last year and had a great time, so we returned! Camp site has platform, fire pit, porta potty, and folding table. We fit two relatively small cars, but it was definitely a squeeze. There was also space for one of us to hammock. Great stay all around!

This is a very nice quiet little spot in a wooded neighborhood with really kind neighbors nearby. Just a level wooden platform to put your tents on for the night, with chairs, a table, fire pit and water! It’s a great place to stay if you are trying to find a campsite while staying at Acadia.

We camped at Nancy's place while doing lots of hiking in Acadia. It was a great place to use as a home base for going out and about during the day and spending evenings in Bar Harbor. The site is right next to a road but it is very infrequently traveled and is very quiet at night. The camp store down the road is handy for hot showers.

Residential camping!

This is just a tent platform in a residential neighborhood. The site was not cleaned prior to our arrival (there was corn husks, egg shells, and other materials just thrown in the tree line which could attract rodents/wildlife). These food scraps made it difficult for me having a dog on a strict diet due to medical issues. This was not private, as it is in a neighborhood. There was a shower curtain available with a hose for showers. Two chairs were provided that were weathered and tearing. A power cord that came from the home, along with a table and fire pit. This was not exactly the camping experience we were hoping for and we chose to leave early. We reached out about our concerns with the food scraps but did not hear back until after our booked trip was complete. I would not recommend.

It is in a pleasant quiet place, beautiful in the woods. It is very close to the restaurant and shop. I liked the placement. It’s a little hard to approach because of the poor quality of the road, but that’s not a big problem. The toilet was clean. I spent nice days here.

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was that the listing is very misleading, the photos included made it seem like it was more secluded and forested than it was, you are very near the owners home, and can see the neighbors from the site. It is right off of the road, and every passing car has a full view of the whole site. Upon further inspection we noticed how dirty the site was, the porta potty was very dirty inside, and was about 10 feet from the tent platform, there were also eggshells and cornhusks strewn throughout the bushes towards the back of the campsite, there were fallen string lights that looked to be hung at one point. Altogether I imagine this would’ve been a nice place to stay when it was first put up for listing, but a lack of upkeep, effort, and space made an extra 80 dollars for a campsite at Mt Desert Campground completely worth it. (Would also like to add that all of the photos featuring a dock and water are stock footage and in no way relate to this listing)
