This camp was perfect for people who don’t want to camp in a caravan park 👏🏼
It’s located 30mins away from Broome, WA and is perfectly located 700m from coconut wells (a truely iconic destination in the Broome region). The host offers water fill up on the way in/ out which is super handy. There are no other facilities so you need to be self sufficient. Pets are allowed which is great.

We appreciate the space provided by Phil at his hipcamp, if you are looking for a piece of dirt to stay on then this is what you get.
In the busy season it can be hard to find a spot to stay and we grab what we can, after leaving
jilla wulla / coconut wells, we lined up to get into the pistol club camping sites with amenities, water and power very close to town and Cable beach
for alot less and spent 7 days there.
We are happy to pay if its value for money.
We would not return.

The proximity to the Coconut Wells beach was good and so was access to the water and firewood.

So so….
Hosts are friendly, we were escorted into our site without any fuss. The actual location Is conveniently located close to Broome and Coconut Wells beach. That is what you are paying for! The actual site is fairly average and they seem to cram all the caravans (4) into a relatively tight area which felt like we were in a caravan park. Not sure why they do this as they have plenty of room to allow space between campers.
Would I stay again, maybe, it would be a toss up between Broome Gateway and this Hipcamp.
The water is great for drinking.
