Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Come enjoy our 5-acre Coastal Hideaway nestled along Mandurah estuary, just 30km south of Mandurah CBD. Immerse yourself in a pristine bush setting mere minutes from both the beach and the enchanting Mandurah Estuary. Enjoy crabbing and fishing, and for ocean enthusiasts, indulge in fishing and surfing activities by the nearby coast. The perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. Our property is on a steep hill, our views from our home are too good not to share with you! We currently offer just one camp spot, "The Platform site" that pictures of the view just don't do it justice! Its located right on our back door step, so please be mindful, we love the community environment & love a good chat, so if you are after complete privacy perhaps this isn't the place for you. The Terrain: Please bring a sand mat, as after a long dry summer its very sandy & boggy. Just be mindful with larger vehicles, there is the chance of getting bogged. Friendly dogs welcome: However our property isn't fenced we ask all dogs to remain on leash, kids will also need to be kept a close eye on due to the steep terrain. We have also just started fostering a dog who barks when she sees other dogs, we are doing our best to minimise and control this, and hoping that exposure therapy will slowly help her, we can usually tame her inside. There is also friendly free ranged chickens roaming, we are happy to put them away if your doggos think they may be dinner! There is no cooking facilities on site, also please read up on the fire ban in the area the dates you are looking to come, if fire ban is present no open flames are aloud! Tea, coffee and cacao available on request, you can add on later to your booking if you decide. You can also purchase free range eggs and even rent a paddle board, and some crab scoops. We look forward to hosting you at our property, Ebony & EurwynPlatform is located at our front door step, perfect for a family or couple wanting to soak up our breathtaking views of Mandurah Estuary whilst feeling apart of our young families house thats slowly but surely being made into a home. Perfect for a 4x4, The site it a sandy site, hard in some areas, soft in others. Very small caravan/ van would need to driven in by confident driver, backed out to ensure awning opens out to views. Powered or Unpowered.

We loved our stay here. The view was incredible and Ebony is a great host! The site is a little closer to the house then expected, but it wasn’t a problem at all. We just set up our camp in a way that gave us more privacy and it’s like the house wasn’t even there.

This was my first hip camp experience and it was well worth it, my friends from nz were so jelly of the view that I shared with them every day 😂 , the hosts were genuine lovely people and the eggs were 10/10 delicious, i will definitely be back 💛💛💛 ( power hook up is 10a plug so bring an adapter)

Evony lent us a rub to catch them in and a pot to cook them up with Me and my best friend who I had visiting from Romania and my newly wed husband had a great laugh The stars at night are just phenomenal!!!! Magical spot loved it and will be back in November when my sister form the UK is visiting thank you so much

Birds, wildlife and water views
We loved camping on Ebonys land! My camera was busy capturing birds galore (I counted 40 species in 2 days!), a very decent number considering we have travelled all over Australia for 5 years and my life list is 280. I loved walking down the tracks in their native bush to spot birds during the day and wildlife like critically endangered ringtail possums, kangaroos, owls and tawny frogmouths and of course brushtail possums at night! Our truck is 7m long and there was plenty of space. The camp spot is in front of the house but we set up facing the view so it felt quite private. Ebony is lovely and we ordered coffee from her every morning which was delicious. The best part though was just relaxing and enjoying the amazing water view over the estuary. Stunning sunrises and sunsets! Big thanks to Ebony and her family for hosting us. We will be back!
