We live on a picturesque 700 acre property, high in the Darling Range an hour north of Perth. The property overlooks Lake Chittering with sweeping views to the horizon. The native bush here is typical of the Darling Ranges, featuring Jarrah, Marri, Wandoo, Xanthorea and Banksia.  Fed by the mighty Brockman river, the pretty Chittering Lake is almost completely obscured by vegetation. The lake features lots of birdlife including swans, wood ducks, spoonbills and wedgetail eagles.  The Chittering valley has much to offer including scenic walks and local cellar doors. The springtime is full of the region's wildflowers, and if you're visiting around October don't miss A Taste of Chittering, the food and wine festival showcasing local produce.  We have a number of campsites on offer for your relaxing holiday.

Horse Paddock camp
Awesome secluded bush camp setting.
Super friendly and responsive hosts, 700 acres of off leash dog friendly camping, Horse Paddock camp is a fantastic bush setting camp site with plenty of room with shaded and sunny tree lined camp spots that would suit all needs. Plenty to see around the property with some awesome bush art sculptures and walk trails. I missed out on having the bush telly going as the fire season had been extended so keen to return to tick that final box Thankyou Andrew for letting me stay, keen for a return trip.

It was a great spot to test out caravanning with our dog. Lots of space, beautiful walks through the grass trees, amazing view of the Milky Way at night and no flies or mosquitoes. Andrew is well organised and found a site better suited to us than the one we had booked. We very much enjoyed our stay.
