Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places. And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant & rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. beautiful camping spot
It was a very lovely spot, very quiet and calm. It gets quite cold in the winter but still makes for a lovely camping spot if you pack well. The spaces between camping sites are well spaced, so you can have space but also be close to a neighbour camper if needed. The owner is very nice and there are even some friendly donkeys near the toilet block.

Beautifully managed
It was my second camping already in a month, such a beautiful place with clean toilets and water supply, didn't try the luck on fishing but will definitely be back for it too in summer 🙂

The best camping experience
Second time visiting and will be back regularly. So close to Melbourne (under 90 minutes). If your wanting to experience real camping with the convenience of a nice flushing toilet (no shower) this is the place. A flushing toilet can transform the experience for ladies and kids. Beautiful location on the river. Very private. Three sites well apart and out of view of each other. BYO wood, rather than rip apart the environment. You will love this place. Safe , secure, private and the owner is a ripper bloke. BYO shelter if its forcast to rain.

We loved camping on Michael's land! We especially enjoyed walking up the hill for sunset and sunrise, the views were absolutely beautiful! Michael was friendly and gave clear instructions via the app. We will definitely be coming back to this spot!
