Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Are you looking for a unique bush camping spot conveniently located to Melbourne? Longridge has camping looking out over the Yarra Valley and Kinglake National Park and is 124 acres. The property backs onto the National Park and is 10 minutes to the Toolangi State Forest and Yarra Glen.
There is abundant flora and fauna found on the property. You have your own exclusive walking/ Mountain biking trails that go for k's.
Guests will have plenty of space and privacy at their site. All guests must be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
Can be windy at times on hilltop, with very limited protection.
Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided, please keep them under control at all times and respect any fire restrictions in place during your stay. Some firewood is available. Firepit. Collection of wood off the ground is allowed. Fires under 1m in size for cooking or warmth. Must be extinguished with water if not attended and on departure.
Wineries nearby. Blueberry Farm located next door, 50 minutes to Melbourne, Tullamarine airport. 50 minutes to Kalatha Giant Tree walk, Toolangi State Forest.
Well behaved leashed pets are welcome.
Driveway is steep in to camping area, 4x4 recommended when towing caravans. Lowered vehicles or sports cars may not be able to access the camping area. Standard height cars will be okay.
4x4 Recommended during wet conditions as campsite is on grassy hill.Plenty of space on the ridge top, grassy flat area, excellent views. There is only 1 designated large flat camping area set aside currently on this property. Campers or group will have the area exclusively to themselves. Your own private walking trails through the forest. The stars are amazing on a clear night. Wildlife abounds on the property, and the property backs onto Kinglake National Park and is listed as Land For Wildlife. Only campers who respect and care for nature are welcome to stay.
