640 acres of wilderness on the Great Alpine Road, views up the Tambo Valley to the high country, Tambo River frontage. Easy access from the Great Alpine Road, however the 2km driveway requires a 4WD or high clearance off-road vehicle. Private camp site in the bush, unlimited firewood for campfires, walking tracks to explore, pet friendly. Although there is no running water at the campsite, you are welcome to fill up water containers from our rainwater tank, 400m from the campsite.Complete privacy in the bush on a ridgeline track with views all around. Plentiful firewood for your own campfire. Enjoy the peace, quiet and birdsong, and tune in with nature. The site is 180m above the valley floor and access in places is steep, so 4WD vehicles are required. The campsite has a turning circle and can accommodate 4WD trailers and off-road caravans, but only if you're very confident driving in that terrain. Plenty of walking tracks, and access to state forest tracks for 4WD-ing. Relax by the river (2.5km down the driveway), cool off in the rapids on a hot day.

Ridgeline Campsite
A terrific site, perched way up on a ridgeline as the name suggests. Flat, plenty of turn around room, super quiet, and a great fireplace and wood supply. Simply superb.

Hidden Paradise
We loved camping at Ridgeline. Jamie and Tracey have a wonderful property. The campsite is on a beautiful ridge line (hence name) and we were spoilt for views. The site feels very private with a clearing surrounded by bush. Great site to pitch a tent with fire pit and plenty of wood. Jamie and Tracey were wonderful hosts and provided clear directions and instructions. We were able to fill up our water from their rain tanks and they gave us plenty of information about places to visit in the local area. This has to be our favourite Hipcamp so far. Thanks Jamie for your amazing hospitality

Beautiful. Private. Peaceful
Wonderful last night of my trip. Couldn’t have picked better! Jamie was so lovely on arrival, had shower, toilet and BATH option. I was too tired to take it up this stay. Camp site was wonderfully private, lovely views. No mozzies that night. Phone reception was accessible. Both Tracey and Jamie were welcoming and I was sorry to miss out on having a cup of tea with them in the morning! Highly recommend!

Very quiet campsite in the bush. Tracey was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of what we might do while there and a map of where we could go on the property.

On Top of the World.
This campsite is high up on a ridge with expansive views on either side of you. It’s very private and very quiet. We took our hybrid van up the big hill and set up camp very easily. The campsite has plenty of room with an entry and exit so you don’t need to do tricky reversing to get out. It’s the perfect stop over place if you’re enroute to somewhere and you need a safe place to stay overnight. You do need to be fully self contained, which was no problem for us. Great walks are to be had and if you want a swim, it’s not really too far down the hill to the river, you do have to drive down though as it’s too far to walk. Tracey is extremely hospitable, friendly and happy to help. Very relaxing sitting by the fire on the big log! Would certainly go again. Highly recommend this campsite.
