The site offers water views, backing on to bushland. There is plenty of firewood available to guests. The Mount Managa Forest Reserve is very close by, with access to forestry tracks for bikes and hikes. Also very close to some great beaches where you can enjoy water activities. There is a boat ramp on the other side of bay approximately 5kms away. There are shops and cafes just down the road at Adventure Bay. 1.5 hours drive from Hobart. Guests must be full self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Great Bruny Island Base
Nigel’s place makes a great base for exploring Bruny Island. Close to Adventure Bay and walking distance to Hanssons Beach. I had the place to myself but there is lots of space for campers to spread out. Some spots have water views. More level sites at the top of the hill but some leveling needed. No Telstra signal. I didn’t get to meet Nigel but online comms were easy and friendly .

Nigel was welcoming and friendly, his land was steep but didn’t pose a problem for us, once up the hill there was a large flat area with lovely views. We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing few days on the island and would recommend Nigel’s place for a great base to explore the sights.

Plenty of space to spread out away from other sites. Great views of the water, nice and quiet place to stay. Nigel is a great laid back bloke and very friendly. Will be back for sure. Thanks Nigel
