Bush camping in native South Australian scrubland. Wake up to breathtaking views of the Southern Flinders Ranges with sheep and cattle roaming in the surrounding paddocks. This is the perfect hub for day trips where travelers can explore the beauty of the Mid North and return for sunset and dinner around a campfire. Pack your golf clubs! The scenic Tarcowie Golf Course is a 6 minute drive from the campsite. Campsite 11
Coming back ASAP 🏕️
Heggies Hill is a wonderful place to spend a weekend camping. Our site was well set up, cleared for safe camping with running water at each site, some sites set amongst the bush, some sites on top of a hill with amazing views. Heggies Hill gives the sense of being quite remote but many interesting towns are more than accessible. We visited the iconic Flinders Ranges small towns Laura and Melrose, both within an hours drive, if you take the slow way. Being provided a shared flushing toilet and water at the site was a welcome touch we didn’t expect. Will definitely be visiting Heggies Hill again.

Amazing
This was our favourite of dozens of stops. Atop a hill, beautiful view from camp 11, best camp toilet ever, easy access, private and quiet. Was cold, be we were prepared for that! Thank you Alex!

Easter Getaway
Nice quiet site with great views out over the hills. Flushing toilet meant no need to empty the devil’s esky 😈 on the way back home 👍. Some of the other sites a little too close together for my liking but very happy with number 11. Hope to come back when it’s not as dry as views will be even better.

We love spending time at Heggies Hill Bush Camp. The camp sites are always clean, the sunset views are incredible and it has by far the best and cleanest toilet we have ever seen at a camp site ever! Alex and Maddie are great, friendly hosts with plenty of knowledge of things to do in the area. This was our second time staying and we will certainly be back again this year.
