Absolutely beautiful spot with your pick of areas to camp. Steven was incredible welcoming and helpful with information prior to arriving & on arrival.
I felt extremely lucky to stay on his beautiful property and watch the changing skies.
Lovely drives and walks nearby, i would definitely return.
I should have picked one of the lower spots though with my tent; the wind gusts through the night were pretty strong because you’re located right at the top of the hill!

Very nice quiet place to camp. Close to many wineries. Good to be able to have the dog with us. Host is very welcoming and checks to make sure everything is OK

We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility at this place. The sunsets were stunning. A really relaxing stay and Steve was very welcoming and helpful.

If you are after that easy reach getaway, then Spectacular Barossa Valley Ranges is the place, a great location, quiet with an abundance of wildlife everywhere you turn. The host Steven is a great bloke who is happy to see you and has a great welcome for you, a definite place to return to over and over.

Steve and Naomi were born to host. The property is gorgeous and they go above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. We couldn’t have had a better time. If you want to meet a wonderful couple, camp on rolling hillsides, and see one of the best sunsets in South Australia, this campsite is a must. Not to mention, the proximity to local wineries is a great bonus. Highly recommend Flaxman Wines just down the road.

Steven was an exceptional host. His property is great for free camping. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Would recommend to all who are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay. Kangaroos, bird-life, are there to see.

Spectacular Barossa Valley Ranges
Steve & Naomi were super friendly hosts. The camp areas were well maintained, clearly marked & spacious. They were kind enough to come to our camp one evening to let us know of a koala in the area they had just seen so we could show our daughters their first wild koala. They advised us of walking trails, local facilities & the best spot to view the sunset. The area is spectacular & full of beautiful wildlife & hundreds of monarch butterflies. Highly recommend a stay here!!

We absolutely loved camping at Steve’s property. He and Naomi were super accomodating - they even called us prior to arriving and gave us all the information we needed to find an excellent spot to set up. The property is very close the the heart of the Barossa (Tanunda) which made it very easy for us to travel between wineries etc. Steve also showed us a beaut spot to drink our takeaways overlooking the valley all the way to the ocean. I think the photos speak for themselves though! We will absolutely be back, and can’t recommend this hipcamp enough!

We took the kids and everyone had a great time, loved going for a big walk to the forest right next door. Loved waking up to the kangaroos, bunny's and birds. Going on a night walk and seeing all the possums, the sunset on the rocks was a beautiful sight to see. We definitely will be back.

Steven’s property is a real hidden gem! The scenery is amazing and Steven is a great host who ensured my partner and I enjoyed our stay. A+++ recommend !

Steven has the perfect spot! Beautiful land with lot’s of kangaroos and rabbits to be seen. He was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed and helped me choose a good spot to setup. Flushable toilets were a great bonus :) Highly recommend!

We enjoyed camping on Steves place. The landscape was stunning and sunset on the rocks incredible. Location really central to explore the surrounding area. Stones throw from Tanunda. Steve was really friendly and welcoming. Easy to deal with and incredibly easy to arrange. Highly recommend. Would be awesome in winter with a camp fire. Barossa sure is beautiful. Thanks Steve !!

Spectacular Barossa Valley Ranges
We had a very relaxing week, just what we needed! Our site was perfect; views, serenity & wildlife. Wineries, restaurants and the Barossa small townships, all close by. Steve was the perfect host, checking we had everything we needed and made great suggestions for places to visit.

Such a beautiful, private and relaxing location. Lots of wildlife around and walking tracks close by. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating. Looking forward to visiting again.

Lovely campsite, hilly site but plenty of flat spots and sheltered areas, well looked after with mown areas, firepit and table provided, toilet short walk away. stunning views (short climb up some rocks could see as far as Androssan!). Woke up to kangaroos grazing nearby.

An enjoyable 3 night stay on this beautiful property.
My little tent nestled between some granite rocks.
Walking around the property at dusk I met several kangaroos, some with joeys, who allowed me to come quite close before slowly moving off.
There are a couple of lovely walks in the near vicinity of the Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park which I did over two days.
Steven was a very helpful host, putting my freezer blocks in the fridge overnight and recharging my phone for me.
I would certainly recommend this stay and would like to return next time I am in the area.

What a spot! Steven and his family have created a fantastic campsite located amongst native vegetation. Sites are mown and the views are fantastic. Located within a stones throw (a big one) of Kaiserstuhl, the campsite is quiet and has enough to do to hang around all weekend. Highly recommended.

Beautiful rocky outcrops and views for miles. A stunning location in a quiet paradise. Steven is a perfect host if needed but the serenity is total. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to our next trip to this gem in the Barossa Ranges.

Lovely spot with fantastic views.
Steve checked in a few times to see how we were getting on and if we needed anything. We had a big protected site, with a supplied fire pit. There was a short walk to a chemical toilet which was a bonus.
