You will have the campground exclusively. 4WD access or we can shuttle you into the campground. 3 car limit.
This is a unique and secluded campground. Suitable for couples, family or a small group of people (8) who can take advantage of the rail trail for cycling, walking, bird watching or connecting to the mountain bike trails.
If you have bikes-bring them! A rail trial for the kids to ride on, or if you are a keen Mountain Bike Rider, trails lead to Ironbark and Bunya. It's a gorgeous 5km ride into the iconic village of Samford.
Located in an open and shady bush setting. A short 4WD track gets you to the campground, suitable for 4wd cars and off-road camper trailers only. Tank water is provided, however if you want treated drinking water, please BYO. Firewood is provided for the fire pit. The site is complete with a composting toilet, warm shower and an outdoor bath on request.
Located alongside the Samford Rail trail and adjacent to the Samford Conservation park, it is hard to believe this unique bush setting is within 30 minutes of Brisbane's CBD. It's a 5km ride into the iconic village of Samford along cycle paths and backstreets. 800m away is the skills park and trailhead to the Ironbark mountain bike trails. Also within riding distance are the mountain biking trails of Bunya. The surrounding bush is Koala habitat and refuge to a local mob of kangaroos.Pitch your tent or off-road camper trailer on an open but shady area. Exclusive use for one couple or small group. There is a stylish composting toilet and hot shower block with a rear deck and bathtub (on request) for those who like to bathe outdoors and amongst the trees. Fire wood, a fire pit and outdoor bench and wash up area are all provided. Situated adjacent to the Samford Conservation Park, Koala's and kangaroos inhabit the area alongside a wide variety of bird species. There are cycling, walking, hiking and some of Brisbane's best mountain biking trails, all in close proximity. The village of Samford is just a 5km cycle along bike paths and back streets, whilst Ferny Grove railway station is 2.5kms away. It's just 30 minutes to the Brisbane CBD by rail or road but this bushland area could be mistaken for somewhere much more remote.
