A special camping experience can be enjoyed at this spectacular location in QLD close to the NSW border for ADULTS ONLY i.e. 18 years and older. Lamington National Park adjoins this outrageously beautiful property that features the waterfall made famous by actress Laura Dern in the iconic Sunsilk shampoo commercial filmed here in 1998. (LGBT welcome). PLEASE NOTE: The Hipcamp service fee varies according to the amount of the booking. For one guest for one night the service fee is 18% approx. of the camp site fee. Bookings at Natural Bridge Retreat have to be for a minimum of two nights. As most bookings are for two or more people for two or more nights, the service fee is generally 11.2%. A beautiful creek descends through the 135 acres which includes rainforest that is listed as State significant vegetation. There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks. You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau. Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife. This is a property for nature lovers. Mobile reception (Telstra works the best), flushing toilets (ladies & gents), hot shower and campfires are permitted in designated locations - sorry no pets. We will e-mail further details upon receiving your booking including a link to a Release and Indemnity form that must be completed prior to entering the property and a link to a form to advise your vehicle type and camping mode. *All bookings must be for 2 nights minimum and in the peak periods 3 nights minimum and 4 nights for the Easter holidays.

Waterfall Retreat
Amazing hosts, limited amenities
Great spot. But the price doesn't reflect the quality of the amenties/lack of built in activites availaible. The cost per night ($100ish) is equal to or more than a cheap motel ($85-110). However the amenties provided are fewer and to a lower standard. Obviously this is camping, so I don't expect luxury but the price per night should reflect that it isn't luxury. E.g. toilets are 2 port-a-loos they are immaculately clean. Keith does an amazing job. But there is no hand washing just santisiser. The flush funtion doesn't have sufficent water pressure and basically requires a toilet brush most times. The singular shower is unique but is essentially a 4 wall, no roof, wooden crate with hot water connected to a hose and portable shower head located between some trees. There are no amenties like sink, BBQ spot, no cell service. The view is amazing, nice waterfall, close drive to glow worms . The host keith is super attentive and does provide firewood at similar prices to places like Bunnings. I probably wouldn't stay again unless the price was lower OR the amenties/activites offered were expanded. As there are a lot of similar places with water/swimming that are half the cost or less.

Waterfall Strangler Fig Site
We had a lovely time camping on Keith's property. The views were stunning and the waterfall and swimming hole were beautiful, and the amenities were great. We hope to be back soon!

Waterfall Creekside
Beautiful camp spot beside pristine creek just below the nearby water fall. Quiet neighbours (campers) and only the sound of the creek and birds. Lovely walk up to the top of the property with fantastic views well worth the leg stretch and incline. Would love to return again soon. Ps do go for a dip in the waterfall lagoon for the sheer exhilaration of the chill factor and clean mountain water - very invigorating
