This property is a perfect getaway for anyone who loves nature. It is beautiful and peaceful, and the wildlife is amazing. You can even go fishing, which is awesome. Plus, there are plenty of nearby attractions to keep you busy. You have Tanum Sands, Boyne Island (a fifteen-minute drive away), Calliope River, and the historical museum just down the road. If you feel like exploring further, Gladstone city is just a twenty-minute drive away. You can go sightseeing or shopping there, but honestly, awesome Calliope has everything you need. When you're back at the property, you can have a swim and a fire at night, enjoy the wildlife, have a beer, and have a BBQ. The pub is only ten minutes away, as is the bowls club. Do whatever you want and have a good time. If you need any advice or help with anything, I'm at the top of the hill. Cheers! I'm happy to help with anything that you need. There's plenty of firewood here, so don't worry about that. If the kids want to pat the horses, I'm happy to assist. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed on leash.

Lovely camping
We very much enjoyed our stay at Heartland Ranch, we stayed an extra night. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed a couple of nights camped near a dam with our 2 dogs, a short stroll from the river.

Heartland Ranch
Enjoyed a night ground tent camping at this site. Correne was welcoming and friendly and showed us to the site. It is a basic bush camp but that’s how we like it. Would recommend

Great bush camp
We loved this place. We camped beside the dam. It was peaceful and quiet. It’s true bush camping with lots of fire wood around. And would suit self sufficient campers. Heartland ranch is a few kms off the highway. It’s far enough away that you can barely hear traffic noise. They have some sites accessible by 2 wheel drive and large vans. But the dam site does require a 4WD due to a step hill. You could camp down the highway a little further for free, but the small fee here means that you aren’t camping with everyone and their dog. Correne was very friendly and helpful.

Great little Spot - Heartland Ranch
Fantastic hosts….couldn’t do enough for you, made us feel very welcome. Great little spot to stay….our site was at ‘The Mangoes Patch’ ….close to Calliope and Gladstone. Will definitely visit again.
