Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Our backyard campsite is only 9 km from the centre of Alice Springs. Its located in a rural/urban setting. Alice Springs is as famous for the personality of its locals and contemporary and traditional art as the natural wonders, including the stunning Larapinta Trail and the MacDonnell Ranges, which surround it. The Swag Inn camping spot has access to an outdoor shower and toilet and laundry sink. Enjoy the view of the ranges and the amazing stars in the desert night sky from your campsite. Listen to the bird calls and enjoy the peace. Campers are welcome to enjoy the BBQ Firepit and firewood, within local restrictions. Around town, there are numerous sites of historical significance to the region’s settler history, including the Old Telegraph Station Reserve, which marks the town’s important role as the mid-point of the 19th-century telegraph line running from Adelaide to Darwin. There are great places to eat and drink, with great views. The Swag Inn camping spot has access to an outdoor shower and toilet as well as a camp kitchen with a sink. Swag Inn
Kathy and Ash were both incredibly friendly and welcoming. They offered advice on attractions, roads to take and Ash even had a look over my tyres to ensure the pressure was correct. I felt I could have asked them anything and nothing would have been a bother. The space was incredible. It is so beautifully set up and had everything you could possibly need. The fairy lights add a great touch. I'm a solo traveller and I felt safe staying here and I'd highly recommend it.

Amazing camp
Swag Inn is a fantastic little spot nestled just outside of Alice in the Valley. Kathy and Ash were fantastic hosts, incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They have created such a unique, artistic, creative, relaxing environment to set up camp for a few days. We felt 100% safe and looked after. Would absolutely recommend to anyone heading Alice way.
