Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
The Bees Creek Tennis Club is a secluded rural property with a 180m driveway to a battle-axe block with situated far away from the road. You will drive over a causeway and creek (flows in the wet season, but dries up during the dry season).
The property is 5.5 acres and securely fenced with a solar powered gate which is accessed by a gate buzzer. The back of the block is a cleared paddock (roughly 2 acres). There is a pool and tennis court which can be used during 8am and 4pm unless otherwise stated for your stay.
The property is home to some natural wildlife including wallabies, birds and possums. Our two well trained dogs Narra and Millie also call the property home. Narra is a mixed breed Staffy X Boxer (brown) and Millie is a Kelpie/Collie X Arab (black and white). They will generally stay around the house, but may join you near the pool or tennis court, or potentially come for a visit to the paddock if the weather is cool enough.
There are no toilets or power, but campers can use water from the house and their is a tap towards the front of the property away from the house. Campers must be fully self sufficient. There is a small red firepit at each camp site and fire wood will be available or you can source your own from the larger burn pile. Moving forward there is the possibility of powered sites in the future.
Your hosts Jake and Kimmie will always be down for a chat and can point you in the right direction for many activities around the local area. 5 minutes down the road are the Coolalinga markets on Saturday mornings, Rural Eats on a Wednesday night, the Coolalinga shops, some great local pubs and 45 minutes further is Litchfield National Park. Jake has grown up rural in Darwin and loves his property and community and as an Outdoor Education/PE Teacher knows many great local spots for bushwalking, exploring and camping.
