Welcome to our half-acre campground, featuring two sites. Bordering 400 acres of state land, our campground offers a tranquil setting on a hillside above the artsy hamlet of Wassaic, New York. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy nearby fishing, hiking, kayaking, or biking along the 26 miles of the Rail Trail. The campground is located within 15 minutes of several Appalachian Trail access points. The property is maintained to provide maximum hospitality to local wildlife. The local vegetation is allowed to grow long, and the surrounding forest provides an excellent habitat for songbirds, wild turkeys, deer, foxes, woodchucks, bobcats, and occasionally bears. Please be aware that you may hear train noise, as the Harlem North line ends approximately one mile away. Our home is located around 100 feet below the campground. The campground consists of two campsites: one with a vintage camper situated on top of the hill and the second lower campsite for campervans. If you are interested in a more private experience, please inquire about renting both sites at a discounted rate.
