At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining. An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. I have only owned this property for a couple of years so there is not much here, every camper that stays helps to improve and maintain the land for future use. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Each campsite is private, some more so than others - Read each description for details. I allow self check in, but also love meeting campers. I won't disturb you unless you ask me to. If you would like to meet me, talk about the property, Megalong or the Blue Mountains I would be more than happy to come and see you - Just reach out on arrival. I have grown up in this area so can recommend just about anything! If you would like to meet the animals (goats, peacocks, chickens, geese, dog, cat) please just ask. I will accommodate wherever possible. Update 25/4/24 - Please note, Megalong Road (the only access in to and out of Megalong Valley) sustained a major landslide on 5/4/24. The road is open, but there is boom gates, an escort vehicle and one lane open only. The journey down is slow, with tight corners, but it is beautiful. Take your time & enjoy it. Don't come in a hurry. The road has a 7.5 tonne limit.

Rice Flower Camp

Secluded and dog friendly

We absolutely loved our stay at the Rice Flower camp-site! Claudia, the host provided excellent communication prior to our stay, answering our questions quickly and offering very thorough and easy to follow directions to the site. The drive into Megalong Valley is stunning. We were specifically looking for a camp site that offered privacy and seclusion along with enough space for our rescue furbabies (who aren't overly fond of other dogs) could run free and enjoy their time stress free. This site was perfect! Ideal for self contained camping. This site offered a well cleared area, surrounded by trees. A short stroll providing beautiful mountain and sunset glimpses. A great designated fire pit area, with ample firewood ready for the beginning of our stay. Our dogs LOVED sleeping in the tents and even more, sniffing, exploring and running around until they were absolutely tuckered out. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Megalong Valley Bush Escape

Claudia offered a nicely set out area to camp complete with fire pit and plenty of wood around. We enjoyed a walk around the property including a “strenuous” hike up the local peak with views across the valley and kangaroos hopping by through the bush.

Rice Flower Camp

Wonderful stay!!

We had an amazing time! We were completely isolated which was exactly what we wanted. The pups had a great time running free and our 6 year old daughter loved going for walks around the property looking for wombat holes and kangaroos. The site was a good size and nice and flat for pitching up. Plenty of wood for fires in the fire pit. We definitely recommend and plan on returning soon!! Thanks Claudia 😀

Rice Flower Camp

My family and I loved camping on Claudia’s property in the Megalong Valley. The location, views, animals and trampoline made it the perfect weekend getaway with our four year old. We all had a great time and will definitely be back.
