Speak to us about using us for a working space for corporate or business trips, collaborations and more......... Watton Airstrip is a stunning property, nestled on the banks of the Macquarie River. Featuring nine riverside campsites, along with paddock and bush sites, all 4WD accessible and two equally stunning 2WD accessible sites. You’ll share our spaces with kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, deer, platypus and more. Enjoy some optional extras, including Tammie's home made bread, farm fresh, free range eggs, or one of our range of grazing platters, home made jams or hot chocolate kits. Or pamper yourself with a Crystal reiki session, or tarot reading. The 2WD accessible sites feature spectacular views to the right, towards Mt Panorama and Mt Horrible and towards Mt Canobolas to the left. Lie back in your swag at night and let the star struck, velvety sky envelope you, or make a booking at the nearby Bathurst Observatory to see the stars up close. Each campsite offers its own unique features for you to enjoy and a hand crafted pit toilet is accessible to those camped along the river bank. Fish or swim in the river, ride your bikes, or set up camp and then head off on an adventure to the Goldfields at Ophir, or History Hill at Hill End via the Bridle Track. Better still, book into a pub crawl with Damo so you can lie back and enjoy the ride. There are plenty of opportunities for 4WDing and bushwalking in the local area. Fires are allowed (fire restrictions permitting). Wood can be collected from fallen wood around the property, or bring your own if you prefer. Pets are welcome for a one off fee per animal. We do ask that pets are supervised at all times and that they do not interfere with farm animals or local wildlife.

What can I say. Wish I was still there! Truely amazing if ur one that appreciates nature! Amazing views with great sqm.. Damiens a good bloke as well! Thanks for the stay mate.

Peaceful spot by the river
We loved the Rapids, as a beautiful place to camp next to the river. Just be mindful the track in is quite steep, may be a bit tricky in the wet.

Exceptional week away
Thoroughly enjoyed this little slice of paradise camped only meters from the creek. Damien and Tammie are quite simply the best hosts ever and I look very much forward for a return trip to Watton. We went in late June so was getting down to -5 at night. Awoke to a blanket of white frost every morning with beautiful sunny days. I went into the creek every morning, definitely not for everyone at 1 degree, but it was just beautiful 🤪 My brother and I pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Just 2 other campers who only stayed a night. We went for 7 days. Then there were the horses, Alpacas, sheep and I even spotted a platypus during one of my morning swims along with a fair amount of bird wildlife. Thanks Damien and Tammie for a much needed recharge in nature and sharing it with the public. It is very much appreciated 🙏
