There is plenty of space between camps. Which wasn't an issue (only a few there). Clean tidy toilets. Fire pits provided and it's pet friendly. Can't wait to get back down there.

Beautiful spot we got an unobstructed view of the stars and were level with the sunrise as it came over the river. Lisa was a great host and was super prompt and reliable. 10/10 would camp again.

Perfect midweek escape, with plenty of space, plus opportunities for a fire and a river swim or kayak.
Very private, with facilities (portaloo) offered.
Lisa is a breeze to communicate with and we will be making this a regular hideout! Thank you.

Great large camp spots, toilet on each site, very peaceful and if you like animal sounds then this is the magical spot. Can hear what I think was elephants, definitely monkeys and we never heard them but a lions roar comes through in the right conditions, all from Mogo Zoo not far away , very cool spot and hosts are fantastic and kind.

Sites are super spacious, all in close proximity to the river and available kayaks to roam on it. Dog friendly environment and a very helpful ane responsive host. Loved it!

Tomakin River Camping
We booked Tomakin River Camping on our son's recommendation after he camped there with friends a few weeks ago. It was as great as he described - a beautiful location, with huge sites, very well maintained grounds, and immaculately clean loos.
Lisa and Peter were gracious, welcoming hosts who were very accommodating and responsive to our enquiries. I'd highly recommend Tomakin River Camping and we'll definitely be back!

Amazing place to stay. As a solo traveller I felt very safe, the place was gorgeous and it was nice to have access to a toilet too.
Lisa was very helpful and welcoming on arrival, letting me know where to set up.
I wish I’d have stayed another night to explore some more!
I’d also recommend visiting Mongo zoo and Burrewarra point whilst you are up that way.

Wow - what a great place or a camp. Lisa is super friendly and the site awesome. Lots of space, soft flat and level ground that's tent peg friendly, a beautiful creek with lots of sit on top kayaks about the site to take for a paddle and plenty of wildlife. We had the entire site to our selves and can recommend Camp 14. Only 15 minutes from the sea with coffee available every day in Mogo should you need. The site is genuinely dog friend. We will be back.

We had a very nice weekend. Lisa was also very kind and helpful. As a surprise we saw kangaroos in the morning. Places are for campers far from each other help privacy.

Lovely area along the river to pitch a tent! Lots of camp site options, but also plenty of space between each to mitigate noise and such. I was delightfully surprised that staying here included access to kayaks for a leisurely paddle down the river. Thank you to Lisa, who was very accommodating and clear in providing directions to the site.

Lisa Hip camp was beautiful we had plenty of room and Lisa was down everyday cleaning the porta loo and checking if we needed more fire wood. Was a great spot to be able to go out an explore different places. You felt miles from anywhere but your only a few minutes from Mogo. We will definitely be back

What a great location, close to everything, especially Mogo and Tomakin. The grounds are very well maintained, right on the river or easily accessible, large spaces between camp sites, dog friendly, very peaceful and relaxing location. Highly recommend, already planning when we can go back again.

Fantastic. The property was easy to locate with an easy to drive on compacted gravel/dirt road. Was greeted by Lisa who was absolutely lovely. The sites were massive with heaps of room between campers to allow full privacy and relaxation. Heaps of portaloos are available around the property. Very very satisfied and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you!

I loved Tomakin River camping. There was great communication before & on arrival. Camp spots were well marked & not close to each other. Most sites had their own firepit and clean toilet.
There were kayaks available to use & i had a lovely morning kayak along the river.
The variety of birds in the morning to wake you up was so amazing.
The camp ground was well maintained.

The camping is very spacious with plenty of areas to set up that are fairly level. Lisa and Pete are charming and very helpful. The portable toilets are clean and well maintained. The bonus is on a hot day the very swimmable river is just there. We had a 35-degree day where you would have fried at the beach, but floating around in the river under the shade of a tree was just the ticket! The only downside (apart from no showers- but it's not that sort of camp site) is that at night you can hear the highway, but only if it's still or the wind is blowing from the west. On an up note, to finish, with a NE wind, you can hear the Siamang Gibbons at Mogo Zoo off in the distance on a sunny morning after rain. So cool! They were obviously enjoying it too.
