PLATYPUS CREEK
We enjoyed our stay on Tom’s land in our camper trailer. It had been very rainy leading up to our arrival with quite a few showers while we were there and while the ground was muddy it did drain exceptionally well and the roads were firm so there was no danger of becoming bogged staying out of the wetter valley areas. The property is lush and green and there are plenty of friendly cows. We camped by the river under the shade of huge trees with a swing nearby. Our Border Collie enjoyed chasing her frisbee through the wide open fields, we were lucky to be the only ones on the property so had heaps of privacy, I would imagine in busier times it could get a bit crowded as there were quite a few campsites marked out on the map. Tom came down to check on us on arrival and is super friendly and helpful, he was also excellent with comms pre arrival with fast and helpful responses, his directions are also super easy to follow.
We would definitely recommend and return in the future.

Northern NSW Secret Getaway
Great spot, weather held off and I think that was why we were the only ones there for Saturday night.
Cows were friendly and the site was clean and well maintained.

Magical cows!
I loved camping on Tom’s land. It was very easy to find from his directions even though we came at nighttime. It was magical waking up being surrounded by cows in the morning. Absolutely loved it !

PLATYPUS CREEK
Can’t wait to come back.
10/10 for The Sleepy Hallow Manor Estate. We camped at Platypus Creek which was spectacular. Heaps to do, Tom has tyre swings and wooden swings set up around the creek as well as bench seats to sit at while the kids are playing, heaps of room for the kids to kick the footy around as well and plenty of fire rings to use. We had a drive around the whole property as recommended by Tom and found a few other areas we’d like to camp at next time. Tom is one of THE BEST HOSTS we’ve ever encountered in our history of camping. Extremely helpful, and even though he was extremely busy, took the time to have a chat with us.
One of the things we loved about this camp site is that it is so close to Byron as well as Hastings Point, Kingscliff etc, no more than a 30min drive either direction. A great base if you want to explore the south tweed coast through to Byron.
