Please make your booking prior to 1pm for same day arrival. The property is 40 acres of beautiful bushland, backing on to the Olney State Forest. Camp on a grassy site overlooking the dam or nestled in amongst the trees. Pets allowed. Keep your dog on leash at your campsite and under supervision at all times. Clean up after your dog. Fire pits provided on each campsite. Do not dismantle fire pits. Campsites have no toilet or shower facilities, and no electrical connection. Please bring your own water. Dry organic firewood for sale $20 for 30kgs on request. Fresh free-range eggs for sale when available. Please respect our home and property and leave the campsite in the good condition you found it. The property is just 7kms from the M1 motorway (take the Morisset exit off the M1) and Morisset just 10kms away with shops and fuel. There is plenty to do in the Morisset area including visiting the pretty Gap Creek Falls in the Watagans National Park or kayaking around beautiful Lake Macquarie, Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake. There are some great areas for hiking, bike riding, bird watching and more. Set on the western foreshore of Lake Macquarie, which has the bush in its backyard. Find a patch of shade for a picnic in Lake Macquarie State Conservation Area where you can spot kangaroos and other wildlife. The saltwater lake is a haven for sea turtles and dolphins and you might see sea eagles and kookaburras, too. Fern Gully is just 1.5 hours drive from Sydney! We look forward to meeting you.

Site 09 - The Woodland
Beautiful spot - nice and spacious, still close to everything you need but far enough away to enjoy all the stars in the sky

We Had a great stay! At Les’s land! The host was incredibly respectful and gave us plenty of space to enjoy our time. He even chopped up a large tree with a chainsaw for us while we were out for the day, which was above and beyond. Plus, his dog was absolutely adorable! Highly recommend this spot all spots are distance from eachother too so no need to worry about nosy neighbours!

Suitable site for our Jayco Penguin
Great property, with well maintained sites. Our site was big enough for us to drive our Jayco Penguin in and out. Site was quite level, but we did chock one wheel. We had plenty of shade during the day and lovely fire in the pit provided at night. Les's dog Boris was there to greet us on arrival, and popped in for a visit several times during our stay. He is very chilled and well mannered and got on well with our dog. We enjoyed one of the walks up to the top of the property and returned via the unsealed road adjoining the property. All in all we had a very relaxing stay and will definitely be back.

Had a lovely stay with our dog
We loved camping with our dog at this site. The sites are well spaced out and the site itself was large enough for us to fit in our camper trailer (T-Van). We were able to have a campfire and some walking trails around too.

Bush Camp with your best mate
As has been stated in other reviews, Les cares about where he places you so you end up with a unique experience. We had a huge area to ourselves, the kids had a great time collecting timber to build huts. Les popped up from time to time to say G’day and a quick chat with Boris the dog not far behind. We found him easy to get along with and he never hung about. Loved the serenity, although not far from the road, it was just a pleasant space. Would highly recommend but would forgo being on the dam itself as it’s busy and loud with big families (while we were there anyway). You could see your neighbours but not so close for it to be a problem as the undulating land meant they could be up above you or around a bend in a nook. Would happily visit again and take advantage of the state forest tracks and trails nearby.
