At the foot of the Watagan mountains, close to the Watagan 4WD tracks, picnic areas, and bike tracks. Also close to Lake Macquarie where you will find fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing etc. About a 20 - 40 min drive to beautiful beaches.
Ideal for those wanting to be surrounded by birds, nature and a couple of friendly doggos. Also great for people wanting to try out their new camper, van or tent for the 1st time as we are an easy 1 hour drive north of Sydney on the M1 and close enough to shops for those forgotten items.
Also we have unfenced dams and waterways, if you are camping with young children please consider carefully and let me know before booking.
We have very basic bathroom facilities of 1 flushing toilet in the shed and an outdoor warm shower.

Lisa was very accommodating and helped us settle in our site and let us know where the facilities are, the facilities are as described. We only had the one night as we were on a timeline to get south quite quickly. Lovely native property xx Alby, lovely doggo who stayed keeping us company for a little bit
The Web page was nothing like the actual 'camp'. Aside from the 20+ drunken yobbos blasting Dennis learys Asshole on repeat at 10pm, the roosters and peacocks didn't stop all night.
For over $40 we expected at the least some quiet.
Lisa was lovely but at the very first hints of light after zero sleep we packed up and left
Beautiful spot, helpful hosts, gorgeous dogs.
We may have been unlucky but what sounded like hundreds of roosters on the property next door kept us awake all night :(
Apart from this I would definitely recommend.
The camp is really nice and quiet, lots of animals around but very spacious
We had a big group next to us that was a bit loud so keep in mind if you want to be relaxing make sure not to book the site next to the 20 people sites.
The amenities were « not pretty » the owner warned us as soon as we arrived. It was indeed quite tragic : dirty toilets in an old building that was very very stinky, leeches in the outdoor shower, you have to walk 15 meters when you want to open or close the water tab in the shower, I think with the price of our stay, they would have enough money to make it breathable in there and replace the tarp that is used as a door by something more solid
I didn’t mind that the shower was outdoors, it is more how unpractical it was and unsanitary that was an issue and caused most of us not to use it.
Lots of potholes on the drive down make sure you have a decent car
Proximity to nice bistro and shops very convenient
Beautiful and peaceful location, nice flat grass and plenty of room. Friendly host family and dogs. The outdoors shower, whilst a bit basic, was hot and had good pressure.
The bathroom needs some maintenance - all works absolutely fine but not the place to go if you’re fussy. Could just do with a cleanup and proper door.
Overall certainly good value for money and would recommend.
