Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Ollies 9th Birthday Trip
Wayne's property was a campers delight! Everything you could possibly want and more! We had our swags set up right on the bank, had a perfect campfire spot, and could literally throw a rod in from any part of the bank. We loved this place so much that 3 days turned in to 5, we didn't want to leave at all!! The kids were so happy they caught 3 GIANT carp. They loved looking at all the cows, I loved how much open space the kids had to run and play - (the kids loved having the cows walk through when they were being moved, and they LOVED seeing a baby cow that was born over night) they played footy, we set up their volley ball/badminton net and their bucket toss games. Wayne was polite and very friendly and a great host. It was also very handy having the supermarket 5 mins down the road incase you forgot to pack something. This has by far been my favourite spot for camping and we will be back but with more of our family and friends to share this amazing spot with. Thanks for your hospitality Wayne, you are an absolute legend and you little piece of paradise is def a 10/10 from us. Ollie loved his birthday camping trip thanks to you! Rach, Kyle, Riley and Ollie.

Tranquil and Idyllic
We spent 1 night in this idyllic spot. No sites are assigned, but finding a spot by the river was very simple. The site is sheltered by trees and offers a tranquil rest point if on a long journey.

No fuss Hipcamping in a very pretty part of the country,. Lots of space, feels like you could be far away from anything, but only 10 mins to town.

Quiet riverside csmp
Great campsites on the beautiful Tumut River and a short drive into town. Level sites with shade 8f you need it but also sites if you want sun for your solar. Wayne the host is very helpful and nakes you feel at home. We'll certainly be back.
