Steven’s Pond Retreat
David's cabin was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway for two. The cabin was cozy, well-equipped, and very clean. We tend to over-pack/over-prepare for camping trips, but David had it covered. We really just needed to bring food and clothes/few toiletries. The cabin heats up very quickly and stays hot (it was around 40F the nights we stayed, and we found that if we started the stove at around 8 pm and didn't keep filling it with wood, it stayed at a really comfortable 60F all night!). David had all paper products, lights, candles, silverware, pots/pans, plates, AMPLE firewood for the fire pit.... not to mention a canoe a short walk away that took us on a few-hour tour of the lake (and a cute dock to swim out to). The queen-size bed fit both of us really easily (one of us is over 6'). The compostable toilet is just a few steps away from the cabin and is very clean and easy upkeep. Although Liberty is a thriving small town, we felt like we were in a secluded spot with lots of privacy. No neighbors for about 1/2 mile! We loved this spot and would definitely come here again. Thanks for making this such a memorable experience, David!!

Steven’s Pond Retreat
We really enjoyed our stay at Sawyer's cabin in Liberty! We are a family of three and wanted to enjoy the Commonground fair and have a close place nearby to rest our heads after a long day. The property is gorgeous and in a short beautiful walk you arrive at a beautiful pond where you don't see any houses! The loft sleeping area was very cozy for sleeping and there was a nice fire ring out front for having a nice little evening fire. We are two adults with a 4yr old so the bed was just big enough for us but I would say it's definitely more of a 2 person bed. We would stay here again for sure!

Steven’s Pond Retreat
Wow, that a find! David's cabin is so sweet and well-designed, but more than anything we fell in love with having a beautiful lake pretty much to ourselves to swim and hang out. In the morning the 2-min drive to the little town of Liberty offered a great restaurant and browsing in the wacky Liberty Tool Company. We'll be back!
