Spent our first night travelling in New Zealand at this park. Such a great location. From our first encounter at reception, to the location of our powered site, it was just so calm and relaxing. The amenities were super clean, tidy, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Thoroughly enjoyed it and well worth the visit.

Comfortable cabins, great location a quick walk into town. The heaters worked really well so I had a cosy stay. Check in was easy and staff very friendly with tips for the local area. And the view out of the window in the morning is sensational! There were activities for kids, a games room and a clothes washing facility (paid).

What a great holiday park! We enjoyed a standard cabin a few metres away from the kitchen and bathrooms, but it still felt very private. Everything was pristine, and the view from the park is just astonishing. We had a fantastic long weekend here and would definitely recommend it!

Everything you would expect from a Top10 franchise. Lovely hot tubs on site and only 5 minutes walk into town. Others have mentioned that the railway track is between the site and beach, although the slight noise didn't bother us.

Barbecues, hot showers (unlimited), hot pool and Pool available- very clean und much space in the shared facilities. Supermarket, towncenter and many activities are in a walking distance. Highly recommend this campground!

A superb park with fabulous, immaculately clean facilities. A pool & hot tub was a real treat! A great location for walking into town (though I’d recommend driving not walking to the seal colony as that took a while!). One of my favourite sites I’ve stayed at in NZ & good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay locally. We had a tent site which was central to amenities including the communal kitchen, fish cleaning, bathrooms, pool, and games/TV room, children's playground. The other campers were so friendly as were the staff. The pool and surrounding garden was tended to regularly by the lovely caretaker. We had a puppy who was new to camping and barked at times but nobody was bothered, he was quite popular with people going to/from communal areas and we made a lot of friends. We werent bothered by the train or helicopter noise and night time was quiet and serene. Will definitely be back 😊

Grass Powered Sites – Max 6-meter vehicle
We were incredibly lucky to get Bridget answer the phone on Christmas Eve and accomodate my request of 4 nights from December 28th to Jan 1st on a powered site. I couldn’t believe our luck. The park was of course very busy but surprisingly peaceful! Hearing the sea at night and kids laughing during the day. The amenities were always clean and available and the toilets always had toilet paper. The kitchen area was clean and the little things like providing scrubbing brushes and tea towels was a delightful surprise. The pool area was always immaculate. We didn’t get to try the private hot tubs but we will be back to soak in the very near future. We had an issue with our voucher (our issue not theirs), and Bridget and Luke made sure that it was all sorted. It’s the best camping ground we have ever stayed in. Thank you for giving us a much needed sea side escape from the city.

Gravel Powered Sites – Max 5-meter vehicle
My friend and I stayed for 1 night in my friend's campervan. It was the weekend before xmas and there was plenty of available spaces. The amenities were very close and they were clean and tidy. The location is near the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. My friend and I both rated our stay very high and would definitely go back again.
