Barnyard Campsite
The drive out to this location was beautiful, and the gravel drive back to the camp site was easy to get to and beautifully wooded. Ken, the host was helpful in meeting us and showing us around and telling us more about Buck Creek Sanctuary.
There is a nice trail down to a beautiful creek which was really low (and cold!) when we came but we had a great time wading in it with our toddler.
It’s worth noting that the composting toilet has narrow rails which makes sitting on it a bit tricky for those with larger hips!
We saw about a dozen bird species, a little opossum that visited us each night, and deer. At night we heard owls, coyotes, and foxes.
I definitely plan on returning for some of the sanctuary events!

Great place to stay
The tipi is beautiful and so is the land it is sitting on. Ken is a great host! If you don't mind primative camping I would recommend staying here.

Cedar Grove Tipi
This was an excellent, quiet and peaceful location. The host met us an ensured we were orientated to the site when we arrived.
The campsite is basic, yet all we needed for a rustic stop on our way through southern Indiana.

Barnyard Campsite
A Peaceful Bit of Nature
I set up a hammock for a few days on this property and it was really nice. The host and I didn't have a chance to meet, but he gave clear directions about where to camp. The campsite was well maintained with a firepit. There were mowed trails to explore the farm, but it was so hot and I was so busy that I didn't get a chance to check things out. I will be back!

Beaver Bend Campsite
Peace within Reach
We loved camping at the Sanctuary! It was the most private spot I have ever camped. We saw a Blue Heron, a family of otters, and spent the day catching crawfish and laying in the sun. I highly recommend this spot for someone who wants to "get away" without going too far away!

Barnyard Campsite
A great spot with plenty of room to set-up and enjoy nature. This is the second time we've stayed here. We loved walking down to the creek and dipping our toes in on a hot day. The gravel spot by the barn was great for van camping and opens out onto mowed paths that wind through the property. Great hosts, thanks!

Beaver Bend Campsite
Ken’s spot is all around beautiful. There were wild flowers all around and it is a little walk to the campsite, but he does have a wheel barrow you can put your items into. The spot is beside a creek and has a bench to look out at the water. There is also a fire pit! It poured the rain when my boyfriend and I stayed, but the creek did not flood and it was relaxing. We’ll for sure come back!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Beaver Bend. Our tent opened to a beautiful view of the river, which was super clear and clean. Ken was a great and super friendly host and we loved exploring his property. Definitely recommend!

Barnyard Campsite
Beautiful & Serene Nature Retreat!
Staying at Buck Creek Sanctuary was amazing. Ken is a great host and made me feel right at home. My campsite was absolutely beautiful, serene and quiet. I had no one around me accept any little woodland critters like ducks, beavers etc🙂 It felt completely safe and private. I had an awesome experience and would definitely recommend.

Great place, very quiet. Beavers are active and fun to watch and listen to. Steep trail to the creek, so plan accordingly. Well worth a visit.

Buck creek sanctuary is amazing! Very peaceful and beautiful. Ken was super awesome and was waiting when we arrived to give us a personal tour around the property. We will definitely be back!

Barnyard Campsite
Ken's place was beautiful and quiet. Camp areas were cleared and the ground was even and soft for tent camping.
Ken was also a gracious host, making sure everything was ok, telling us about the creek and paths, and even helping get a stuck vehicle out!
I'd love to go back when I have more time to explore the trails and creek

Barnyard Campsite
A beautiful stay on the creek!
Ken was a great host who went above and beyond to make our stay great, before and during the trip.
The campsite was absolutely beautiful. It was secluded, right on the river with the sounds of bull frogs, wild turkeys and many birds, bugs and and other wild life to enjoy. The property was peaceful and we enjoyed hiking and exploring the land when feeling adventurous and relaxing by the fire and enjoying the quiet in downtown. We can’t wait to come again and plan on making the trip an an annual one. Just a tip, site 4 is worth the hike!

Peace of mind and relaxing.
The place is awesome. Cant wait to to go back. There is many waking trails which lead to the creek. Great friendly Hosts!!
