Beautiful Views!
The views were beautiful with lots of birdsong, big cottonwood trees and very peaceful . … as we happened to be the only ones there!
It had rained the night before so some areas were muddy but no problem finding a flat area to park our camper van. Mosquitoes at dusk close to the reservoir.
The area was easy to find and we recommend.

We stopped for the night on our cross country trip. It was excellent, Anson was quick to respond to any questions, place was well kept and stunning. We left wishing we could have stayed longer!

Except the restroom and water supply the rest was good.
Restroom was terrible we went twice to the Walmart
Restrooms.
There was no water supply at the camping area.

Amazing camp grounds!!!
We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lower-altitude
Campground that's away from the city, but close enough of a drive for emergencies. For example our tent broke and our air mattress got hole so bad we couldn't fix them. Thankfully Walmart was only 7 minutes away and we were able to get replacements. The owners were nice enough to let us throw our old tent and mattress in their dumpster. The grounds were breath taking. They had string lights that were hanging in the tent area which gave it a nice
ambiance. The view of the mountains and lake were incredible! 10/10

Not private, but a beautiful site!
This was our first time using hipcamp and to be fair, I think the service itself is just not for us. We are big fans of secluded camping and off the reservation type vibes and this unfortunately wasn't that. There was an older couple walking their dogs who wandered into our site twice (not sure who they were) and then later, three more people walked by with their dogs, one who wandered into our site. We had leashed our dog per the listing instructions and were just sort of waiting there for the dog to leave when they told us we should just let ours off leash because it would be easier. I said I didn't know that was allowed and asked if they were the hosts and they said yes (I wasn't sure who they were because no one introduced themselves & there has been another couple by earlier) so we let the dogs meet and they left. Later that day and all the next day we experienced a farm worker driving through the site or right by the site on a tractor or 4x4 doing work.
The site itself was beautiful. We loved the fire pit, benches and lights and the trash cans were a nice touch. It took a long time to hear back from the hosts that we could use our SUP board on the lake but once we got approval we decided against it. If you don't mind being in the back yard of a home (directly in site) and having people walking and driving the path next to you, then it's the perfect spot. We just prefer a more secluded, private experience.
