2 acres hosted by Daniel C.
We've been here for a couple years now and love the features of our little spot on the edge of the woods just outside the Redding city limits. When we moved in there were already lots of established fruit trees, beautiful flowers growing both wild and potted, lots of mature trees (including bamboo) and lots of varieties of cactus and succulents as well as couple small ponds and a large heart-shaped pond next to the patio in the backyard. You might see some wildlife including deer, rabbits, owls and harmless bats at night, and humingbirds, brush jays, squirrels, and our dog Bruno Mars during the day. Once in a while you'll hear the faint sound of a train rolling down the tracks about a mile from the house, but we've never heard the sound of a train whistle. You might also hear the faint sound of traffic in the mornings and around 5pm, but you have to stop and be quiet to actually notice it. Overall, if you're looking for some peace and quiet you'll definitely find it here.
