Pitch a tent or pull up a camper onto your own private meadow situated in a peaceful mountain valley. You'll have steep forest on one side and a bubbling creek on the other. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the chance to view the abundant wildlife, especially elk and deer, or hop into the fun town of Wallace, ID, less than a mile away! There’s a table and benches, stone firepit, and logs to sit on by the fire. No water or electrical hookups but you’ll be right next to a pond (a watering hole for the wildlife) and a creek with a knee deep wading area to cool off or wash up in. No bathroom facilities but there is a shower house at the nearby RV park you can use for a fee. Pets and kids are welcome and will love this spot! This campsite is VERY large and can accommodate several tents or RVs. Please note that very long RVs/trailers may have difficulty turning onto the bridge to the campsite. Also though the site is quite private, there is a road on the other side of the creek. Not a busy road, but you still will hear and see cars driving past on the other side of the trees. This area is rich in history. The gravel drive was once a railroad that served local mining operations and there are mining claims still today deep under the land. History buffs can wander the historic cemetery just across the road. Located near highway 90 and very easy to reach for those looking for a place to crash on a road trip. ** PLEASE NOTE: This site may not be accessible during winter months; check with us first for snow conditions between November and March/April.**

Some have said the road is noisy or busy but it's not bad. By bedtime every night traffic settles down and it is quiet. We sat outside at dusk watching the bats. The site itself is large and flat and didn't need to block the camper up at all. The cemetary across the road is very interesting if you like that stuff. I would highly recommended the site and would stay again. Directions she sent were excellent.

Nice quiet spot so close to Wallace. Great location for biking the Hiawatha. Much better choice than the busy Wallace RV park.

Great little field to camp. There is a picnic table and logs to sit on plus a nice rocked firepit for when fires are actually allowed. We went for a lovely walk across the road in the cemetery, where we learned about the fire of 1910. This was a convenient location for the Hiawatha trail.

Easy to find and park with 16’ RV. The swimming hole is perfect for kids and cooling off during the heat of the day. The trees around the creek were perfect for hanging a hammock to enjoy a book or afternoon nap. The town (Wallace) is great and has lots to explore if that’s your thing. They have excellent coffee at 6th and Cedar Espresso Bar. Our dog loved the site as well!

Beautiful property and the campsite is so private! We have three dogs that will bark while they play so this was so ideal to let them play off leash, and not be in a crowded RV park. Even in the summer time there were some wildflowers so I can only imagine how amazing they are in the spring. The site was easy to find, and quick to get to town also. Nice level pull through spot that the brush was cleared from. The campsite sits right on a flowing clear creek. The near by road was not an issue for the dogs because they loved the creek so much that weren’t even interested in going on the other side towards the road and it wasn’t loud or very busy. There’s also a cute little pond too, and it was nice to have the picnic table. Would definitely recommended!

The stars were very beautiful and there was a nice flat of grass to set up a tent + a picnic table. but be prepared that there is no bathroom and you have to walk across the driveway to get to a secluded spot to pee.

The campsite was easy to find and the scenery was beautiful. The creek across the road provided great background noise and offered a good spot to cool off. If you are campers who want to use the spot as a jumping off point for other activities, this spot is for you. However, if you want to hang around the site, this may not work. There is no shade during the day so we put our chairs in the creek and hung out there. The nights were nice end cool and very few mosquitos or black flies.
