Kokomo farms is great!
Our visit to Kokomo Farms was great! Excellent experience! Exceeded our expectations! Relaxing and serine. The horse grooming experience was fun!
Trudy and Greg are fantastic hosts! Their homemade pizza was delicious!
Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!
Feels like coming home
This was our 2nd stay at Kokomo. Every time we leave, we start making plans to come back. This is far from the usual “Florida” experience. Kokomo is nestled in a sprawling rural horse town, and as soon as you arrive, it feels like a homecoming-the comfort is tangible. On this secluded oasis, you’re surrounded by enchanting live oak trees, spa inch moss and friendly animals. Each campsite is plucked from a Pinterest board. Not only are the grounds magical, Trudy and her husband are amazing hosts and they make everyone feel right at home. My husband and I are from NYC, and we both agree that the wood fired pizza is some of the best we’ve ever had...no flop! On our first stay, we camped in our car. On our second stay, we booked the treehouse. Both experiences were beyond memorable. We saw shooting stars, fed the resident chickens and horses, roasted marshmallows and made friends with incredible people around the campfire. We always leave well rested and full of adventurous spirit. After our last stay, we drove 45 minutes to Ginnie Springs and swam in the crystal clear blue waters. If you ever find yourself in the area, plan a night (or several) at Kokomo farms.
What a wonderful place! Excellent host! We came for my boyfriend birthday and stayed in the treehouse. It was a cold couple of night but we were plenty warm. The bedding provided kept us very comfortable. The host offered us a way to use a heated blanket but we didn’t even need one. Host were very accommodating. Grounds are beautiful. Animals very well taken care off. We hope to make this a place we come to often!
The most magical escape!!!
This place is a pastoral dream come to life. I was completely in awe from the moment I arrived. The land is imbued with unreal beauty, rescued animals (including my new friend the talking parrot), fairytale accommodations, & entirely draped in sunlit spanish moss. I will absolutely be staying here again and again and again. Thankful to my generous hosts :)
We didn't want to leave!
As close to a perfect getaway as I can imagine, especially right now. My honey and I followed a path of solar "firefly" jars to a treehouse that we got to share with 2 lizards, 2 daddy long-legs and 1 cutie treefrog. The bedding was more comfortable then some high end hotels I have stayed at and the other reviewers that said the hosts thought of everything were on the button correct. Remote solar light over the bed for reading, robes and super plush towels for the hot tub, extra fuzzy blanket for colder nights...We had the tiny house for my Mama and it was fabulous too! Be sure to read the note from the hosts and check out the map so you don't miss anything like the hammocks and coffee on the porch. Also the star gazing bed is much more than a trampoline; they had it covered with a blanket and pillows! We have camped at dark sky parks and seen less stars; it was beautiful. Last but certainly not least the critters were so well taken care of, Trudy and Greg even have treats in the barn for you to share with the chickens and guinea fowl and horses. The white roosters are hilarious! We will definitely be back. If you are concerned about travel during our covid 19 crisis I can assure you that they are taking your safety very seriously and Kokomo Farms is a desperately needed place to recreate responsibly.
It was fabulous! All of the great reviews are absolutely true!
It was a perfect getaway weekend and we will be back. We are so grateful to be able to recreate responsibly with the help of our fantastic hosts. They really did think of everything. Take the time to read the laminated sheets in your treehouse/tiny house there are lots of fun facts on them that we almost missed. If you are like us and have elderly or immune compromised family know that Trudy is doing all the right things to keep your travel party safe during these challenging times.
