*EDIT* Please Note as of 1st November we are closed for the season. We will re-open after the wet season on 1st May 2024 *Caravan and RV camping on the banks of the Barron River. Large spacious bush sites with the option of fire pit. Abundant bird life, walks and swimming. BYO canoe and we can drop you off upstream for a three hour paddle back down to your site. This campsite suits self-contained campers equipped with drinking water supply as no potable water available. It also suits campers who enjoy the peace and quiet of the bush without loud neighbours. Of course quiet campfire banter is encouraged. BYO bike and cycle along the backroads passing through eucalypt bushland, cane fields and farming, finishing with lunch at a local coffee plantation. On the way home pop into the Mango Winery to top your day off with a delicious fruity champagne. NOTE; Dogs will be considered at the discretion of Rusty Pheasant owners. Please contact us prior to making a booking to discuss. Strict rules apply. Approval is only given if the breed, age and temperament is considered appropriate. Arriving on site without approval could mean cancelation of the booking and a direction to vacate.Caravan, RV camping on the banks of the Barron River. The place was great value, with lovely areas to swim and plenty of room per site which included a fire pit. Would definitely stay again

Rusty Pheasant RV Retreat
Just had the long weekend up at Rusty Pheasant.The weather was good ,Tonina and hubby where great and helpful.The kids had a good time down at the river playing and swimming.They even had a large screen to watch footy and also put on a sausage sizzle. I’ve already told a few friends about it. Will be back .

The Rusty Pheasant is a great camp spot. Good facilities- fire pit, amenities block, pool table and cinema screen. Lovely camp sites with river access. Tonina is an excellent host

Lovely getaway
Just what I needed. Lovely welcome from the owner, great choice of campsites, great facilities, WIFI included, fire pit, beautiful open night sky for star gazing, bird life was abundant, river side camping and plenty of privacy.
