Set on 60 acres of beautiful native bushland and Australian wildlife, we are located in South Ballina. The iconic townships of Ballina, Byron, Bangalow and scenic waterfalls are all within a 30 minute car trip. Our property is surrounded by the crystal clear ocean, a beautiful rural outlook and rainforest walks. Sugar Beach Ranch offers you a relaxing, private and picturesque beachfront experience. Simply put it's natures playground. Sugar Beach Ranch offers two self-contained bungalows and campsites for self-contained campers. All guests have access to the 15m magnesium pool and direct beach access from the property. Wake up to songs of native birds. Bring your horse (horse accommodation available for an additional fee - $50 per paddock per night) guitar, or your writing book and loll away the hours nurturing your soul in paradise. No pets please - we are a wildlife sanctuary with our own ranch animals - horses, chickens, dogs, pigeons, peacock and a cat.

Sugar Beach Ranch - Secluded Camp
Stevey’s place was a beautiful spot to camp! Lucky for us the normal camping grounds were too wet so we had prime location right next to the beach. The perfect mix of farm & beach life. My 5 year old loved the birds flying everywhere in formation in the afternoons and seeing her absolute favourite bird, the peacock 🦚 The pool was great to be able to use it, only recommendation would be to have a net near by to take the overnight insects out. Overall we had a great stay at Sugar Beach Ranch and Stevey was very friendly and accommodating.

Sugar Beach Ranch - Secluded Camp
Sugar Beach Ranch is so sweet.
So friendly! And what a peaceful place. Having the dogs hang out with us and the peacock give us a morning show was just wonderful. A million stars above and the sound of the surf — couldn't be better.

Sugar Beach Ranch - Secluded Camp
The perfect private beach getaway!
We loved staying on this unique property! Where in the world can you stay on a beautiful farm right next to an untouched beach. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating which made the trip so comfortable. We loved walking along the beach, meeting the farm animals and doggos and cats, watching the sunrises and sunsets plus staying cool in the pool. We do a lot of camping and this was one of our fave Hipcamps. If you are thinking of booking this spot, please do it and support a lovely family who have a beautiful property to share with you!

Sugar Beach Ranch - Secluded Camp
Secluded camping at its finest!
We absolutely loved our weekend at Sugar Beach Range! Stevie was more than accomodating and was really easy to communicate with leading up to our stay! The property is stunning and a short walk to the beach! We were the only campers in our area which was so peaceful. A new toilet had been built and is perfect for those who don’t have their own! You also can access the magnesium pool whilst on your stay at the ranch! We cannot wait to return to this gem of a spot!!
