Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We are located north of Bathurst and west of Ilford. Enjoy a unique camping experience with native wildlife and great views from our hilltops, located only 10km from the historic Hill End gold mining town and only 1km from the Historical Cornish Roasting Pits. There is plenty to do and see in our region, we are a short drive down the historic Bridle Track and to the beautiful Turon River, all of which are surrounded by gold mining history. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. Enjoy a campfire dinner and admire the stars above as you warm your feet. We can accommodate tent and vehicle camping, and 4WDs are recommended here (please message us if unsure about your vehicle). Camper trailers and campervans are ok too, as long as they are 4WD. The campsite area will require your vehicle to be levelled. No pets please.
