I started living here permanently seven years ago, most of the property's out dwellings and the Cabin is built from recycled, reclaimed materials or been handed down.
I am fully off the grid and in the process of trying to become self-sufficient.
The water is pumped from a springfed dam and mostly gravity-ed.
It's a little like McDonald's Farm, an array of birds and animals.
There's an orchard, hothouse and a Raspberry patch which may be my favourite spot when they're fruiting.
It really is an amazing lifestyle, peaceful, relaxing and rewarding.

We had a great time camping at Ladybugs for two nights. The spacious, private campsites are amongst the trees and near the creek. It is very relaxing to experience nature here, and listen to the amazing native birds.
Peter and Kim have done a great job setting all this up so well. We really appreciated that they are so friendly and helpful.

Have a great experience here. Very beautiful, spacious and convenient camp site. Personally I like campsite 3 the most. There is waterfall just right beside us, and you can hear the water sound. And the owner is really kind and helpful ! !. It is recommended place even for beginner camper who never done camping before.

Weekend Trip to Badger's View Farmstay
We only booked last minute but Diana made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. She was kind enough to accomodate an early check in, so that we could make a nearby wedding on time. We didn’t get much time to ‘hang out’ at the property but it was obvious that there was a lot of care taken in making sure all guests have a memorable and lovely stay.
We had a lovely chat to Diana on the way out and it was great to hear about all of the nearby mountain bike tracks and how they started the cabins (she even let me feed the cows)! I would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at this quaint campsite. It’s clear the hosts have put a lot of care into creating a welcoming space — from the tin of marshmallows and card games, to the fairy lights strung up around the site that gave it a magical feel in the evening.
The firewood bundle we purchased was generous (definitely good value), and it made for a great night around the campfire. The hosts checked in on us just enough to make sure we had what we needed without intruding — really appreciated that balance.
A perfect little spot to slow down, unwind, and enjoy nature with a few thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special. Would definitely come back.
