Welcome to your dream destination!! 

We have two different locations available in Kangaroo Island with some options of sites in each. 

FIRST LOCATION: 

EMU BAY HIDEAWAY-30 hectares of peace, mainly vegetated with Kangaroo Island Narrow-leaved Mallee (Eucalyptus cneorifolia, a nationally-protected ecological community). Kangaroos and wallabies are in abundance. It has a wonderful feeling of remoteness and seclusion yet is so close to iconic Emu Bay.

Those with 4WD may choose sites overlooking Shoal Bay towards Kingscote. 

 Alternatively, you may set up camp anywhere on the property.  There is even one under-cover position with a concrete floor for those concerned about the weather.

There are no amenities so guests need to be 100% self-sufficient (including BYO drinking water and toilet) and leave no trace. It is a wild block and only five minutes from the iconic Emu Bay, where the white sandy beach runs for 4kms, most of which is backed by 10 to 20-meter-high dunes. It is one of the best beaches on the island with crystal-clear water.

SECOND LOCATION:

Farm Stay about 15 km from Emu Bay and 20km from the main town of Kingscote. This is an operating small sheep farm of over 100ha. For security reasons the exact location is not advertised, but will be disclosed upon arrival on Kangaroo Island.

There are several beautiful sites. This location is fairly central to most KI visitor attractions. It is a secure place to set up camp and have peace of mind that your belongings will be safe while you are away from the site. The host takes care to situate sites to give campers the feeling of exclusiveness.

NOTES;

Check with me before lighting a campfire - this depends on the season and risk. Dogs are permitted if well controlled (register visiting dogs with local council).

Kangaroo Island is serviced by regular ferry - check SeaLink for details. As the service requires advance bookings, please secure your passage to the island before booking your site. Thank you.

KI Caravan Park, Kingscote

KI Caravan Park, Kingscote offers a family- and pet-friendly, beachside stay in a peaceful natural setting. With a mix of cabins, cottages, studios, and both powered and unpowered sites, there are plenty of options to suit your needs.

Our studios and cabins accommodate between one and seven guests and are just a short walk from the beach. Perfectly located on Kangaroo Island, the park provides easy access to all the island’s attractions and is only 3 km from downtown Kingscote, the largest town on the island.

This is the perfect park if you love peace and quiet, wildlife, and nature. Spot koalas, wallabies, and some of the island’s most beautiful birdlife right from the property.

A highlight of the park is the camp kitchen, a welcoming gathering space with plenty of tables and chairs, two barbecues, a full-size stove and oven, fridge/freezer, and a dedicated fish/bait freezer.

Whether you’re here for adventure, relaxation, or both, a wonderful experience awaits you at this beautiful caravan park in one of the world’s most amazing destinations!

The Compass Country Cabins are located just a 50 minute drive from Adelaide, South Australia, in the midst of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula.
Mount Compass is located 15 minutes from Victor Harbor and Goolwa and the beautiful coastline there.

Great location, best opportunity to spend time on the farm amongst the animals and nature. We are a small Farmstay in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula just out side Victor Harbor in Waitpinga. 

Powered and unpowered sites have use of bathroom facility.

Waggon Flat campers do not have access to facilities.

Limited Telstra ph service and  wifi.

And For Something New, Your welcome to visit our Onsite Distillery.

Moo's Distillery is open Friday's to Sunday to taste new and vibrant Gins.

If your hungry also try a pizza for Dinner.

Close to anything you would like to do in this fantastic part of the state of South Australia. From fishing to surfing to long walks on the Heysen Trail or wine tasting and whale watching, there is everything here you would ever want to do.

 On the farm you will be able to see our animals which include Sheep, cows, chooks, ducks, goats, alpaca - all are very hungry and looking for pats!        Sorry we don't allow pets.       Campfires permitting (depending on local fire restrictions).

All Rubbish is to be taken home by campers, with the policy of what you bring you take home and leave nothing.

Kookaburra Cottage Farm

Here you'll find 6 acres of undulating land, surrounded by gum trees. The campsite is in a lovely bush setting, in a valley, which is quiet and private.

Campers must be self-contained, we don't have facilities here.

Plenty of options for safe swimming and surfing beaches (10-20 minute drive)

Visit the Alpacas (by arrangement) just across the road

Jetty at Rapid Bay is the spot for fishing (20-minute drive)

Hiking in Deep Creek Conservation Park is fantastic (15-minute drive)

Find essentials at Yankalilla township, including a supermarket, craft shops, pub and medical centre (10-minute drive) A RV dump point is located at 75 Main Street Yankalilla.

Lovely scenic drives in the area and Victor Harbour, a larger regional town is only 25 minutes away.

Jagged Crow Farm

Close to the iconic Horseshoe Bay, Port Elliot, Victor Harbor, Middleton and Goolwa beaches with plenty to explore, do, see, or just sit and enjoy the vineyard and bush views from your private 1/2 acre paddock.

A productive, organically managed small farm located in central Fleurieu Peninsula with space to move! We grow beef and lamb, and gather honey and eggs.

Please note fire ban conditions commence 1 December.

Bunny Beach Farm Stay

Bunny Beach Farm Stay has development approval for Self Contained Recreational Vehicles, Experience the peaceful, laid-back beauty of Bunny Beach Farm Stay, nestled just a stone's throw from Victor Harbor. Set against a backdrop of majestic red gums and teeming with vibrant bird life, this special spot on our working farm is adjacent to the tranquil Back Valley Creek.

Discover spacious, grassy, and flat sites that offer seamless access for big rigs, caravans, and motorhomes. Rest easy knowing there's ample room for maneuvering, ensuring a stress-free arrival and departure. 

We extend a warm welcome to pets, but kindly request they be kept on a lead during their stay. 

We ask all guests to be fully self-sufficient, with their own toilet facilities, and please take all waste with you when you leave. There is a public dump point just ten minutes away.

Children under 12 stay free. Please still add them to your booking so we are aware of numbers. 

Maximum stays of 5 nights. 

It's worth noting that Bunny Beach Farm Stay doesn't feature an actual beach. So, how did it earn its name, you might wonder? Allow us to share a heartwarming tale. The park is named after our beloved first granddaughter, Mackenzie, who her Poppy affectionately nicknamed "Bunny". Just as her father cherished this part of the property, Mackenzie, along with her younger sister today, grew up enjoying this special spot. Following a flood in the creek one day, Mackenzie excitedly pointed out what appeared to be a pristine, white sandy beach, and so the name Bunny Beach was born!

Waitpinga Ridge | Creek Camp Site

Waitpinga Ridge is a farm located on the Fleurieu Peninsula, 15min from Victor Harbor. The Creek Camp Site is tucket away surrounded by gums and adjacent to 35acres of land reseeded back to native bush. From this location you can explore the Fleurieu with ease. Hike parts of the Heysen trail along the Waitpinga Sea Cliffs. Enjoy a drink at Lost Phoenix Farm or Boho Farm. And if you are feeling a little bit adventurous, Waitpinga Quad Bike Tours is just around the corner!

PLEASE NOTE:  This is an unpowered site with no facilities. We accept self-contained travellers only, with their own toilet. There are no rubbish facilities, all waste is to be taken with you when you leave. Campers must adhere to fire ban regulations.  ** 4whd access only during winter. Please note that the site is located next to a creek with free access to the flowing water, it may pose as a drowning risk for some.
