This was my first hipcamp and Adrianne&Ethan set the bar pretty high.

The place is beautiful. I was greeted at the mailbox infront of the Twisselman Ranch sign and was escorted up to the pond. If anyone from LA wants a quick getaway you should totally book with Adrianne&Ethan.

The restrooms were super clean as well as the showers. The whole campground is so well maintained. I didnt get a chance to take one of the boats on the pond but next time I will for sure.

Thanks again Adrianne&Ethan. I'll for sure be back and also will be recommending this place to everyone.

A nice combo of rustic & convenience - this was our first adventure with a travel trailer and this was a great choice. Hosts are welcoming; the site is quiet and isolated within a working ranch; use them or not, the amenities (outdoor kitchen/cooking facilities, toilets, and tankless hot water showers) are spotless. Close especially to the Carriza Plains (wildflowers in late winter, Tule Elk, Pronghorn, Wallace Creek, etc.) this is a great place, first adventure or not!

Adriane was very welcoming & easy to communicate with. The pond is such a precious place. We arrived by nighttime & when we woke up in the morning, we opened our eyes to this beautiful piece of land. Will definitely come back with a bigger group to benefit from the whole space.

This was a nice private camping area, pretty secluded. The bathroom was very clean and they had showers on sight. There are a couple of other sites/camping area in the place where other people can setup camp or use the tents they (Ethan) provides.

There is a kitchen area with a fridge/freezer and grill though I think you have to pay to use them.

You can very easily see the stars at night.

There are horses you can see when driving into the camp too.

The only down side I can think of is that there is no hiking trail or path to sight see.

This place is magical. It is the most clean, welcoming, beautiful Hipcamp we have ever been to. You can tell time and effort has been put into the area. They also offer beef jerky (we bought 2 bags), mugs (also bought two of those), hats (just bought one), and many other goodies. The sounds of coyotes and elk in the distance as well as the fowl surrounding the pond is surreal.

My 11-year-old son and I stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend of August 13th through 15th 2021. This was our first camping trip together. We pitched our own tent. Definitely a perfect place to camp during the COVID pandemic not only that you are far away from other tents but there were literally only us and a couple campers staying there at a time. There were ones that came and left as well but definitely felt very private. As we were leaving this place my son says “I’m gonna miss this place” so I know we’d definitely come back. What I really like about this place is the fact that there’s a hot shower, flushable toilets and clean. There’s a good size pond with canoes and bike boat and anyone can use it and apparently you can fish too though we’re not into fishing. It’s definitely in the middle of nowhere and everything is an hour away or 30-41 miles including gas station so make sure to fill up gas. We were told they can sell you gas in case but a higher price of course cause they need to travel for it as well. During our stay we drove to see Morro Bay to kayak which is an 1 hour 15 minutes drive. Leaving this place my son says “I’m gonna miss this place” so definitely we know we’d come back again. We also said hi to the horses which they’re just hanging out far around the campsite.

A wonderful place for camping/glamping. The hosts are very nice people and extremely responsive. For campers the place is well equipped with a small kitchen with propane grills for use. The washrooms are well maintained. Location is very scenic with the glamping tents setup along with a small pond where one can use the boats and sit by during early morning hours to catch a sunrise or late evenings. The best part is this place is very far from the city hence no traffic noise/light/sound pollution and a perfectly clear sky for stargazing.

Our experience at Twisselman Pond was amazing! The ranch is very well kept, restrooms and showers super clean, and overall beautiful scenery. The kids had a great time in the paddle boats, water and simply running around. I am sure this won’t be the last time we stay here. 100% recommend!
