About the property~ Before the farm became Sundog Hills, long ago it was owned by a farmer with a love for fruit trees. A persimmon and blood orange grove were planted, as well as handfuls of macadamia trees, avocados, asian pears, guava, figs, grapefruit, lemon, and cactus pear. Sundog Hills was established in 2023 out of the passion for sustainable living, nature, and community by Ebony & Nat, and at the time a rescue dog named Choli who loved to sunbathe. With the increase of noise and chaos in the world today, we knew it was time to bring our vision to life and share it with others. With many months searching, we found this beautiful, but neglected, 10 acre land situated up in the high hills of Rainbow. Sundog Hills offers a place to be absorbed in nature while only 10 minutes from the highway. You as our guest get to enjoy 10 acres of natural beauty surrounded by native plants and wildlife as well as hundreds of fruit trees. Relax into the wispy tree line, walk the loop around the property through the groves, or see how many wild plants you can identify! Beautifying the land is still underway so you may notice some of the rehabilitation taking place while on your walk. You’ll also notice a wide variety of trees around the property that the lush landscape and elevation offers, such as Eucalyptus and Acacia, a lookout view at the top hill that offers a magnificent panoramic vista of the surrounding area, and the best star gazing views with a chance to see a Moonbow!Treelined Campsite is a grassy space nestled against a row of Acacia, Pepper, and Eucalyptus trees. A large parking area is directly across from the campsite along with an outhouse with a composting toilet and sink. There are no hook ups at the site so make sure to have plenty of water and lighting. Guests have access to the full 10 acres that is easily hiked through a trail that wraps around the property.

Treelined Campsite
I'm used to primitive camping, but I needed something more easily accessible as I had my friend and puppy with me -- drive-up vs. hike-in. It felt very private, secluded. It was perfect. We all had a really nice stay, dinner and jiffy pop at the fire pit table. And a clean compost toilet. Wish we could have explored the grounds more. The blood oranges we picked in the morning were ripe and sweeeet. It was my first time using hipcamp and the whole experience was really pleasant. Ebony and Nat were very communicative and accommodating hosts.

Treelined Campsite
pretty, safe, private
The site was great! It was very private and felt very safe. The Blood Orange trees were fun to pick and they tasted amazing.
