This was an absolutely beautiful property and Neil’s family was so warm and welcoming. We loved our spot under the huge cottonwood trees. The bathroom and shower were clean and worked well. This was such a nice spot to relax for a couple nights.

I came here on short notice but Neil got me right by the river where I wanted to be. It's quiet and peaceful, the only sounds are the barges and waves on the water. The sound of the barges passing by at night is almost soothing, I slept well. Definitely get the firewood, it burned a good flame for a long time.

The spot was secluded and beautiful, and Neil and his family were very helpful, warm and welcoming. This camping spot was a highlight for our 12yo daughter, who loved exploring the magical woodland with the fireflies, and colorful summer flowers. We’ll definitely be stopping by next time we’re on route. Highly recommended.

We liked it. What a unique place to spend a night. The barges on the river are a cross between eerie and super cool as they pass in the night.
Neil can hook you up with some great firewood, and the fire was a perfect backdrop for the evening.

I really enjoyed staying here. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The river wasn't up so we got to camp down by the river which was really nice. The bathroom was super clean, and it was so nice to take a hot shower with great water pressure. I am sure I will be back, because this is by far my favorite campground in the area.

Neil was an excellent host and super friendly! He was very accommodating and communicative! We really appreciated how camp sites were dispersed as there was ample space between us and other campers. The location was perfect for juants to Paducah and Shawnee. I highly recommend Neil's place and we look forward to returning!

Our trip to Neils property was amazing!!! Plenty of room to roam around and the bathroom was nice and clean. Neil was super accommodating and helpful but it was also very private. Will most definitely be going back!!!

Neil was a wonderful host and his family was not invasive in any way. All very pleasant and friendly. The location is great. Plenty of shade and more than one flat spot up set up tents. There is little or no cell service so print up directions to home or anywhere else before you arrive. It is mostly primitive, as the listing suggests, but the bathroom does have running water and the shower gets hot. There's no bench or table, so prepare for that.
Be sure to check out Bell Smith springs and the super man museum while in there area!

Great spot , nice people . Had everything you need . Really nice setting . And i liked how they sell eggs from their home raised chickens.I hope to stay there again in the future.

Great place to stay and camp. Due to recent flooding it wasn't an ideal location for kayaking. I was in mud up to my knees trying to get in the water. There wasnt a solid place to launch from. Other than that its a great place to camp and enjoy the scenery. Very private i think I just picked the wrong time of year.

Great place. Neil and Amy were great hosts, All facilities were very clean and the property is beautiful. Farm fresh eggs every morning. I highly recommend them and can’t wait to come back.

An excellent stay on our trip! When we arrived we were kindly greeted by Neil who treated us like friends! we bought some fire wood and eggs from the family and were personally delivered the goods. We stayed on the site along the river that had an absolutely breathtaking view. the next morning we were able to take a warm shower before leaving. 5 stars, 10 out of 10, defintely reccommend! Thank you Neil!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Neil and was shown where everything we needed was located. I had 1 person in our group that had to work and wasn’t able to arrive on property until late that evening. Neil was understanding of the situation and everything worked out! Very quiet and peaceful spot right on the Ohio River with the fire going and watching barges run all night! I will definitely return in the spring and summer even though I live 6.5 hours away. Completely worth it!!! Thanks again

My wife and I wanted to get away for a long weekend to celebrate our honeymoon. We asked Neil for a riverside spot so we could fish and kayak. He gave us what I would call the best spot on the property. We had a pretty long drive to get there and arrived pretty late, he was able to give us great directions to get to our spot and even dopped off the firewood so we would have it in the morning. The bathroom/shower is probably one of the cleanest camping bathrooms I've ever seen. The sky at night was so beautiful, I've never seen so many stars. We saw deer every night and every morning. Peaceful, quiet campground with plenty to do. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun/different camping option.

We camped overnight, while moving my mother-in-law cross country during a pandemic peak. We were looking for an out-of-the-way safe, peaceful spot to stay overnight with an 84-year old (rather than a motel) and we found it! Loved the host shower too! Neil and his wife were welcoming and very helpful. Definitely recommend their place!

We had a great time with our dog camping on the Ohio River! The hosts were gracious and accommodating when we arrived. We spent a couple days fishing and enjoying the scenery and the bright stars and the majestic Ohio river. Highly recommended!

The property is absolutely beautiful! We loved staying on the river. We enjoyed fishing and paddle boarding. It was so peaceful and quiet at night. We could see so many stars. Amy and Neil were so kind and helpful. The fresh eggs were just icing on the cake! Loved our stay. Highly recommend it! We will definitely be back!
