Dungog Shire is in the Hunter Region of NSW and is renowned for its forests, mountains and picturesque river villages. Go for a scenic drive through historical villages, you will find beautiful picnic areas or take a walk in the World Heritage listed Barrington Tops National Park. Dungog is bordered in the north by the Barrington Tops plateau, which is part of the Great Dividing Range. The Shire consists predominantly of very rugged to hilly country which becomes less rugged from north to south.

Amazing little town with wonderful
Great place to stay for the price. Grounds are kept nice, showers and toilets are very clean. Cleaning staff are such lovely amazing people. Do anything to help u out if u need. The man at rsl is a lovely man . Sites are clean and tidy. The people who look after the showground are what make it a lovely place to stay. I would say well worth the stop

Arrived and found that sites 11 and 12 are not suitable for caravans. The site has a slope that is not really suitable getting a caravan there. The lovely gentleman at the RSL was very helpful and was happy to move us to another site. Thank you.
