Well located working ranch...where to actually camp was unclear online. Once there, There were signs posted for RV parking on the driveway but we were not sure if that was for when visiting the wine tasting. We saw another camper parked their car on the road and camping next to the RV sign. Turns out a car camper can park virtually anywhere on thE ranch with some great spots on hilltop bluffs. As for RV camping, you have to stick to the driveway. It would be nice if they had a couple better RV spots, maybe on the hill as well. I would have been happy to pay a higher price for a better spot.
Last minute oasis
The property was great and the wine was too! We had reservations get cancelled at another campsite and made same day reservations. Our wine tasting with Kelly was awesome. We will be back for sure.
Great outdoor camping
We love the place. It was our first time staying there. We wished we had more to do and see. Like see horses around and other animals. Our kids love animals and we didn’t see any really. Other thing, we didn’t see any trash cans around the property. So we had to take our trash in our car to keep the place clean. We really loved the place. Thanks
Great vineyard equestrian vibe
The property was beautiful. They allow RV’ers on the gravel parking areas. There is instruction that you can’t approach or pet the horses, but some of the riders didn’t want us around or watching which was disappointing. Watching was why I chose the property. There was another tent camper that camped near the horse jumping course who had dogs that barked at everything which put both horse and rider on edge. (The campers should have moved for the benefit of all). The host was great and provided a name of a trail riding guide (Kristen) that brought horses to us. It was a great addition to our stay. There isn’t a place to dispose of trash which would be a good addition.
Great spot, nice!
This is a very nice place to stay. The RV parking seems well marked but the tent sites were a little harder to find. They are basically to the left in the vineyards. If you go left after the gate and then make the first right there is a road around the vineyard with 4 turnouts. These are good spots. If you kept going straight up the hill Past the first right Then there is another vineyard on the left with a couple spots. Do not make the second right! It is a very narrow road around the upper most vineyard and no real place to camp there.
This is a very nice property. It looks like a horse training and competition ranch with beautiful riding rings and jumping rings. The bathrooms are close to the RV spots but a bit of a hike (5 mins) from the tent spots. The bathrooms were very nice. It was quiet and peaceful and saw balloons in the morning while I cooked breakfast.
Also the host was quick to answer the phone when I had a question.
We loved it.
I loved staying at Heather’s ranch! My daughter and I had a beautiful spot for our tent that was totally private over looking a vineyard and we rode horses and it was magical the whole weekend! Cannot wait to come back!
Nice place. confusing layout.
The grounds and scenery were beautiful! The ranch setting was really nice. It was cool to see the horses walking by and you're able to pet them if they come up to you in their pen.
There is one bathroom building in the place. It was nice and clean, but if you camped far away from it, it could be a good 15 min. walk each way.
Finding the actual designated camping areas was confusing though. There are signs scattered on the grounds that say RV parking and trailer parking, but you have to drive around and keep an eye out to spot them. A lot of the spots are along a fence line parallel to the road, so you don't really have that much space to set up camp on the side of your rig, or you will be out on the road. There was one dirt lot where several RVs could park, but there aren't any marked spots, so some people took up a lot more space then others, which was not really fair.
We saw four different rigs at various times in the day and night drive around for a while and finally come up to us and ask where they could park. An online map of the grounds with actual marked spaces would save a lot of time and confusion on where to park and how much room you could take up.
All in all, the grounds are really nice, the one bathroom building was clean, and the experience was nice. Now that we know where everything is, we would come back.
We camped in a tent right next to the vineyard. We thought the price was a little much ($96 for 2 nights) but the views were breathtaking so we didn’t mind paying the price for this experience. You can see hot air balloons in the distance every morning.
