Really enjoyed the property and the accommodations. Everything about the ranch, from the hosts, to the excellent (!!!) breakfasts, to the fishing hole (complete with bamboo poles), to the animal friends, is absolutely perfect. Would go back in a heartbeat.

BOOK IT!!! We went here for 2 nights of our honeymoon and we’re blown away with everything!! The cleanliness, beauty, the food! It was all 5 stars! Thank you to all the lovely people that make this place possible. We hope to come back for our anniversary next year! What a wonderful wonderful experience!

The breakfast trays every morning are so so wonderful. Everything is plated so beautifully, and it is all so delicious. I love how farm fresh the ingredients are. The room is so unique, bed is comfortable, shower head feels luxurious. Such a delight staying in the Cowboy room. And upon request, we had a lovely campfire and marshmallows + skewers waiting for us when we got back to Flipjack in the evening. Would definitely come back.

It’s quiet and tucked away above the neighboring communities of Davenport, Ben Lomond and Santa Cruz .
Lovely buildings with wood siding that makes you feel very homey in-the-woods.
A few cabins/rooms were up stairs so be ready to heft your bags.
Not far off of Hwy 1 but be sure to enter from Bonny Doon road from Hwy 1 and Bonny Doon beach (dont use Waze for the approach from Santa Cruz).
There’s plenty to see while puttering around her property: a house for hens, rabbit hutch , a peacock! And a vegetable garden and fruit trees.
Fresh eggs made the breakfast!

This was fantastic. There were bunnies and chickens and a fantastic breakfast every morning. We felt well taken care of and thoroughly enjoyed ever moment in the magical treehouse. Robin and Teri we extremely accommodating and gifted us fresh tomatillo salsa made fresh from their garden on departure. Over all the entire staff at Flipjack Ranch went above and beyond to provide the most romantic trip for my partner and I.

What a delightful surprise. We really didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to experience the magic of the Treehouse. All the little touches were just perfect. A great romantic getaway. Breakfasts were delish...and Teri the ranch manager is a perfect host. Really appreciated her tour of the farm. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed at the Flipjack Ranch for three nights and we absolutely loved it.
Robin and her team were extraordinarily friendly and made our stay as perfect as it could be. On arrival we were welcomed by Mr. P., the friendly peacock, and then introduced to our room (not by the peacock).
We stayed at the Cowboy Room, a place that made us feel forget the time with all its beautiful little details - like old pictures and paintings, a pretty colorful bathroom door window, a very comfortable bed and of course, to complete the feeling of comfort - the fireplace.
The tray service before breakfast with coffee/tea and a sweet little treat was pure luxury and the breakfast Robin and her team prepared afterwards was more than delicious - everything fresh from the farm, very tasty and fancy recipes. You could literally taste the love that everything has been prepared with.
On our first day we stayed at the ranch, strolled around to see the chicken, the rabbits and the turkeys and the beautiful garden where all the fruit and vegetables came from. We relaxed by the pool and completely forgot the world around us.
I think this is how the perfect vacation should be.

This was a wonderful charming B&B in the redwoods! The treehouse was nicely detailed and a pleasure to stay in. The fireplace warmed up the space in no time at all. Coffee before breakfast ascending via a rope/pulley was novel and fun! Our host was a pleasure to speak to and she knows how to deliver a great breakfast.

We totally loved staying here. Close walk to the winery. Peaceful place to chill after an afternoon of activities. Close enough to Santa Cruz for dinner reservations. I loved their special touches. Truly a special place hosted by good people. Clean and comfortable.

Wow, what a wonderful stay! We felt welcomed and well taken care of at all times while also feeling we had a quiet, private retreat to ourselves. The Cowgirl room was cozy with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The property is beautiful and we had so much fun exploring. We got to stargaze from the hot tub, jump on the trampoline, hang with the animal residents (Mr. P the peacock was so friendly!), hike local trails, eat amazing breakfasts lovingly and expertly created by Robin, talk music and Bonny Doon with David, and enjoy our wake up tray in our warm room. We look forward to planning our next trip to this amazing Ranch! Thank you FlipJack Ranch!

We loved our stay at FlipJack Ranch in March. The room was tastefully decorated, the breakfasts were wonderfully delicious, and the tour around the property was simply a joy. I also took a watercolor class with Robin and truly enjoyed it too!

FlipJack Ranch is a beautiful, peaceful little ranch, and it's obvious that Robin (who was away while I was there) and Teri (who was my host) take great care of the animals and land surrounding the ranch. All of the rooms/cabins are a safe enough distance away from one another to maintain plenty of social distance during Covid. The chickens, cats, and even a peacock are a delight to interact with. The complimentary breakfast is just as delicious as other reviewers said.
Unfortunately the trip was cut short by the lightning storms and wildfires that happened the weekend of August 15-16. The ranch lost power in the middle of the night, and by early morning we (myself, and guests in other cabins) were urged to leave immediately due to nearby fires. Also, just an FYI there is little to no cell service in the area, and once power went out we had no WiFi at the ranch either. So there was no way to communicate or get updates during the storm and subsequent fires. Fortunately the ranchkeepers provide flashlights in the rooms. It was a good reminder that nature is boss, and preparation is key. That said, I hope to go back sometime.

Staying at FlipJack Ranch was a fun, relaxing, and refreshing experience. It was very true to glamping with luxurious lodging and a delectable wakeup tray and breakfast served every morning. I highly recommend the Cowboy Room, the decorations and architecture of the room were so detailed and cabin-chic. The grounds are ere a lot of fun to wander around and seeing the chickens, turkeys, and showy peacock was quite amusing. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and finding the quiet grove of redwoods with a swing. My boyfriend enjoyed being able to light a fireplace in the bedroom, and wants to make use of the campfire next time. Thanks Robin for the great experience!

My husband and I had a great time staying at Flipjack Ranch. Robin and Dave were great! They even set us up with s’mores and a campfire ☺️It was such a nice time. Also the breakfast was amazing!

Just stop looking and book this place. This beautiful treehouse has too many amazing touches to review in depth. The treehouse is beautifully situated on the property with a great balance of privacy and inclusiveness. The morning basket with coffee and a snack before the full breakfast was such a treat. It was fun to pull the basket up using the pulley system. Added a whimsical touch. You are close to beaches and trails, 20 minutes from downtown Santa Cruz, and a 10 minute walk to a lovely winery. If the treehouse is available, book immediately. You won’t regret it.

Wonderful get-away weekend at the ranch. Beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfasts on the patio, very serene and as much privacy as you want. We enjoyed spending time on the grounds and in the pool as well as taking a drive into Santa Cruz.
Robin and David were very gracious and definitely took extra care to make sure everything was safe for guests under Covid times. Looking forward to returning!

We cannot say enough great things about Flipjack Ranch! Everything about our stay was perfect. Robin, Terri and David made our stay such a delight! The property was absolutely beautiful... everything from the trampoline amongst the trees, the pond with frank the duck, the pool with the fresh spring water, the cute and funny chickens and beautiful peacock roaming the property and last but not least the amazing farm to table breakfast every morning! We have recommended the ranch to everyone we know and cant wait to visit again!

This place is a gem. Very clean and comfortable rooms, the property is gorgeous, and the free range animals are hilarious and sweet. The breakfast was amazing and unique, and the owners/staff are super friendly. Will definitely be back!

Robin was amazing! The room was awesome, everything was just so well taken care of and the hospitality was 100% perfect
We stayed at the cowboy room and the only thing was that it was a little colder than expected, but that's it
Do come stay with robin and david, her food is bomb and you even get a wake up tray in your door, those little things are amazing.
We did a little hiking around the farm and found the trampoline (thanks robin) and did some wine tasting (thanks again robin); it was our wedding celebration and everything was just perfect, this place was the peace we nedded to recharge and come back to our two little ones.

If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, this is the place for you. Robin greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our room. My daughter and I stayed in the Cowgirl room, super cute and very private. Coffee on the patio was incredible, you look right into the redwoods and can hear the sounds of the farm. Morning walks through her property were so incredibly serene and beautiful. FlipJack Ranch is also so close to Bonny Doon beach, such a spectacular view from above. We hiked down and spent some time on one of the most beautiful beaches. Robin's breakfasts were also wonderful, the blueberry pancakes were pretty amazing. I would come back again for sure. Robin is a great host and her staff was also very polite and friendly.

An idyllic, unpretentious, and top-shelf farm-to-table affair. We couldn’t have dreamed up a better place to relax and unwind. The talented and attentive local staff / chefs only added to the charm of this rustic ranch. We’d go again in a heartbeat.
