Oregon's second-largest city, Eugene makes for a popular alternative to Portland, offering great restaurants and breweries, plus easy access to the forests and wineries of the southern Willamette Valley. Plenty of RV camping options exist in and near Eugene, from privately owned RV campsites with hookups for Hipcampers to rent to public campgrounds such as the county-run Armitage Park, located in the northeast part of town on the Banks of the McKenzie River. For something a bit less urban, you can find great RV camping in the Willamette National Forest to the east of town, both in state parks and on federally managed lands. More options still are set west of town, in the Siuslaw National Forest, which extends from the Eugene area clear out to the rugged Oregon Coast. Depending on whether you choose a campsite or an RV park or resort, you may come across various amenities and perks, such as restrooms, dump stations, laundry facilities, and extra privacy.
