Description

A visit to Thousand Hills Campground is a fantastic trip to take. Here, you can hang out by the lake and rent a boat, hike an extensive trail system, and picnic along the stunning views over the water. This park is quiet, clean, and peaceful, and the broad savannas recall a time when northern Missouri was far less developed. An interpretive shelter provides the keys and background knowledge necessary to decipher petroglyphs created by people who lived in the area over 1,500 years ago—awesome!
