What a beautiful, natural camping spot in a grassy field with horses. Across the bridge over a small creek, we also enjoyed a campfire by the picnic table near the attractive old train trestle as the horses cantered around us.

Meredith this was so perfect for us. Beautiful little spot. We would soooo come back again. Unique train tracks high above us. The stream we could rest our feet in. Little minnows. The horses greeted us our first night. It was lovely. Very grateful for our time there. Thank you.

Only problem is my family and I can’t decide our favorite part!
The experience of the horses coming out to pasture at night was one we will never forget.

What a beautiful piece of property to relax and spend time in nature on. The horseback riding trails were so pretty. Camping was phenomenal, especially when the horses came to visit us in our camp. Truly an experience we will never forget. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Camping with horses… what!! I didn’t even know that was possible. To see them galloping onto the land while it was pitch black with my head lamp on was magical. I was yelling to my crew “ GET UP, GET UP, they’re HERE!

Great little spot to enjoy the night after our trail ride. The kids loved the stream and caught several crayfish and minnows. The freight train was pretty neat when it came through late evening. The horses came though a little before dark to go roam the property and the kids loved that too. Nice little spot!

Simply amazing. We decided on this location specifically because of the horses, and everything exceeded our expectations. Near the barn we were greeted by friendly cats and a dog, and were able to pet the horses over the fence, but later on we had good weather and the horses were turned out at night. 25 horses trotting over the bridge next to your campsite, grazing at night silhouetted on the hillside, and randomly popping in to say Hi was one of the coolest things I've experienced camping. At morning, the first time I popped my head out of the tent there was a donkey looking back at me, and they must have been hungry because I was immediately surrounded by a dozen cute and huge faces. What a cool experience to have, and the people we interacted with were more than friendly and helpful. Thanks for the opportunity!

A fantastic stay with horses, water, birds, structure and lots of space to explores. A piece of little heaven. Love the beautiful stream going through the properties. We had a beautiful sunset. The herd of horses came by the bridge out to the field is so awesome! The freight train gone through the beautiful wooden bridge once at 9 pm was a nice highlight. It went slow and beautiful. We love train.

This is a beautiful site just 1.5 hours from downtown. Also, didn't knew silver springs state wildlife park was just 5 mins from here. I would come here in spring and summer when the creek level is enough for paddling.

Nice property. Gorgeous sunset. Portapottie is on the other side of the property which I wish I knew beforehand as I may have camped elsewhere. It's a bit dark since it's in a barn and has no hand sanitizer so just make sure you've got a flashlight and hand sanitizer if needed. The instructions say if you have a car small enough with high clearance you can cross the bridge (mine was too big to drive across which is fine), but the owner said the bridge isnt built to be driven across. So for anyone thinking of driving to your campsite, just be aware of that! :)

My daughter and I love camping and horses and this was the perfect mix!! Loved our site, we were able to set up hammocks and have a nice fire. The train is loud at night but it kinda makes it more of an adventure. The horses coming into our site was just the most epic and amazing thing. Host is so sweet and we cannot wait to come back to do a trail ride! Note: the road to the site is very bumpy so keep this in mind with vehicle. Recommend!!

This private creek site was simply magical and breathtaking to surround ourselves in! Beautiful scenery, hearing the water flowing in the creek as well as, the animals (big & small), fireflies and picturesque landscapes, wildflowers! We had a Great time! My Daughter and Granddaughters all agreed as well! Loved the privacy! Merideth was very accommodating and a great host! We will definitely be back real soon! ❤️

We’ve had the pleasure of staying here on multiple occasions, and each time, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We always make sure to book a horse trail ride during our visit, and the creak is an absolute delight for our kids to play in. Meredith is incredibly accommodating and always goes above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future!

Meredith was accommodating to us for a last minute request and shared alternatives due to a rainy weather situation. We had a self-contained camper van and were proposed a spot in the parking next to the barn to rest for the night. We were (unfortunately!) not able to take advantage of the full experience at the private creek site but we saw the potential :-)

Horsegirl heaven!

We aren’t even home yet and already planning our next trip! Plus recommended it to a friend! Between the private site, waking up to horses grazing right in front of tent, and the beautiful scenery we had a blast. Not to mention the two rides we enjoyed with their fabulous mules and horses! I wanted to stuff Berry in the trunk 😂 truly a hidden gem! We are so thankful to Meredith and her staff for such an amazing weekend!
