The town itself is just south of the rolling Northumberland Hills which offer cycling routes, adventure farms and hiking opportunities. Learn more about this land: Hello! This is a lot directly across from East Beach in Port Hope, one of the best-preserved historical towns in Ontario! The site would be best suited for a trailer or an RV/Van with a maximum vehicle length of 34 feet. NOT suitable for a large motorhome. Your vehicle must be self-contained (toilet facility), with electrical and water hook-ups available. Sorry, no campfires are allowed due to by-laws. Features include: -Beach directly across the street -Canoe or kayak launch at the beach directly into Lake Ontario -Restaurant with a patio next door -10-minute walk to the town centre with all amenities -Ganaraska River a few meters west (with Salmon & Trout fishing - license required) -Boat launch at end of the street (into Lake Ontario) -Victoria Beach in Cobourg 10 min drive -Numerous cycling routes throughout rolling hills of Northumberland County We are family-friendly and pet-friendly! Make your own beach house

Madison St Site, East Beach

My wife and I had good friends visiting for the weekend, they were looking for an interesting place to stay during their visit. We contacted james and he was more then gracious and accommodating with our request to park our travel trailer at his site. It’s truly the closest you are going to stay to the beach. Our friends loved it, was like your own private beach house. Will definitely be doing this again! Thanks James!! Best. Zac & Nikki

Great spot for people watching!

As described, the entry is a bit tight but manageable. We had some rain but the lot stayed fairly dry . Lots of canopy on the trees for shade . Faces south so only late afternoon/ evening direct sun. Train track nearby but no worse than most Prov parks. Had a slight issue with the 15 amp electrical source from neighbouring house but James was very responsive to assist . Definitely would recommend and return . Rode our bikes into downtown and enjoyed some local flavour. Restaurant next door is tourist pricey but food was greasy spoon good!

Excellent location, would stay again, perfect for a break between Toronto and Ottawa. Never met the host but very friendly and responsive throughout. Camp was practically on the sandy beach, I could hear the small waves lapping on the shore at night. Beach has public washrooms and a decent play structure, our kid loved the long trains passing by and the pebbles on the bigger west beach, just a few minutes drive away. Cafe next door looked great, but we ate in town. Only down side for us was a little rain and a shop we wanted to see was closed primativedesignscanada.com
