Site 7 - Roney River Ranch

We had a lovely Fall stay this weekend in our little camper. We loved the sounds of the coyote calls through the night. They were quite talkative but it was fun to hear the wildlife around us! My dog really enjoyed having the freedom and space to run and play. The quaint town of Duvall is super close so we enjoyed a beautiful brunch before packing up for home.

Roney River Ranch is amazing. So close to Seattle, Duvall is a fun, wonderful town. Camp sites are very spread out. Views are fantastic. One of the best I have stayed at.

There is no access to the river or any source of water, and the car noise is so high and seems that cars just race there, and kept us annoyed all night.

A Day at the Farm

Site 2 - Roney River Ranch

I love the privacy with no other campers near. This allowed us to use our generation that ran into the evening and not disturb other campers. Also, it was like the only campsite within 25 miles of the event we attended. The host was very nice and sensitive to our needs. We found a picnic table, garbage bucket and outhouse, although we had our own rv for that.

This was our first experience with HipCamp and a last minute reservation. The site is as described, the area is pretty. I wish there was signage or better communication about potable water before arrival. We had virtually no cell phone reception and couldn’t send/receive messages from the host in a timely manner. As a result, we’ve never found water.

Nice spot / easy to find with good signage. Road surfaces were concerning as they're just dirt below mowed down vegetation but turned out easy to drive on. Views were beautiful and we felt we had the place to ourselves. Toilet wasn't very accessible but we had a port-a-potty and made do with that.

The farm is beautiful, and the location is convenient. The off-leash dog area is nice although the tall dry grasses irritated my dogs and one got a seed in his eyelid. The one port-o-potty had a wasp nest in it and spiders crawling up through the floor. For $50 before fees, it would have been nice to have hookups, or a nicer bathroom, or a closer spigot. Maybe free firewood?

Area was peaceful due to no campers on nearby/same lot sites. Fire pit, but no grill. Lots of bugs in the outhouses and huge slugs on the field. It is basically a cleared part of a corn field, so no trees, etc. Owners were friendly.

I just needed a place to set up camp for one night. This worked well. After attending an event in nearby Monroe, I was able to get a good night's rest before a long drive the next day. Thanks for the campsite on the farm. I enjoyed the quiet of the farm with the distant sounds of a donkey braying at dusk and roosters crowing at dawn. Thanks for the details directions, too.

Second time camping here. Convenient location, lots of space. The port o potty was so filled with bugs that it was unusable. One can get organic eggs too.

It was a little hard to find in the dark after the concert but we didn't check it out in the daylight earlier so that's our bad. Once we understood to go past the porta potty in **towards the middle of the field** it was much easier to find. There was a picnic table, a covered structure, and a fire pit. Overall I'd recommend it and I'd come back!

We didn’t make it for our stay due to a family emergency. That said, all communication leading up to our travel dates was top-notch, and I hope we have another opportunity to actually stay at this beautiful property in the future.

This was a great spot to stay in! The sites were far enough apart that it felt intimate/private and the tall grass was helpful as well. Very close to town and access to shopping/bars/restaurants/grocery etc. Site was very easy to find and host was helpful. Would stay again!

The hosts communicated promptly. They even offered to fill up our fresh water tank. We just got in late and we got a bit lost coming in late. But we were able to find our way. It was quiet and a nice experience.

A lovely spot near town + river

Our hosts let us know in advance where we could access some very refreshing water for swimming. It was just a 5 min drive to town which has cute shops, restaurants, and the park where you can swim. The grounds are tidy and the spaces are far enough to provide privacy even though they look a little close in the map. We could hear a tractor operator hard at work in the neighboring field most waking hours, but I work for an agriculture tech company so I didn't mind at all. We set up a 10' x 20' canopy tent next to our 24' camper van and still had room to give the fire ring a safe amount of space. We had a fire bug in our group that kept the fire burning every morning and evening, please consider wetting the grass around the pit for safety if you enjoy long, frequent camp fires. Enjoy your stay and TRY THE FRESH EGGS!
