The Woodland at Henllys Estate

Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Our ancient woodland is 15 acres with streams and a lake. There are fields of grazing sheep all around. We have just two camps. It is our first season and we will be very happy to hear your on the spot feedback. Help us develop a really good camping experience. The two camps are at opposite ends of the woodland and are set up with two Tentsile tree tents each. It is quiet, peaceful and lovely, great for birdwatching. The Bannau Brycheiniog, (the Brecon Beacons) are a stone's throw away, you can see them from our property. The A40 and Llandovery train station are just minutes away.Our two lovely, secluded camps are tucked into our 15 acre ancient woodland. They are at far ends of the woodland from each other, giving you privacy, peace and quiet. They each have two Tentsile tree tents ready for you. One can sleep 3 and the other sleeps two. They each have a picnic table, hazel hurdle shelter and a firepit. And of course, a clean dry toilet in a generous sized cabin you can use to dress in. You can order a continental breakfast from our B&B up the track for £12. You can take a dip in our lake if you wish, or sit quietly on a viewing platform and listen to the birds. A recent survey found 27 different species of birds resident in the wood. It is a serene environment. Part of the woodland is set aside untouched for nature to do her thing undisturbed. We have views of the Brecon Beacons, now given the Welsh name, Bannau Brycheiniog. The sweet town of Llandovery, a train station and the A40 are just 5 minutes away. Day trips can take in waterfalls, castles, bird sanctuaries and National Trust sites. But even more than that, the beautiful Welsh countryside.
